He is 29 years old and only having his second season as a number 1. Last season until christmas he struggled and nearly lost his place.
He is having a very good season but he needs to be consistent over a number of seasons for his value to rocket.

Worth at most the same as smithies?
Would you be happy if we sold him for 2-5m? I'd better nearly every prem team would pick him up at that valuation.
The comparison to Marshall is fair but you have to remember that was a long time ago and prices have increased massively.

I like him but cant think of another team he would get into as #1. People are getting carried away with his current form he is a good goalkeeper not a great one ( Yet )
Joe Hart this year only went for £4million and he is not his level.
He is a very good championship keeper in my opinion and as such is worth under £5mill currently until he shows this form over a longer period

Didn't Leicester sign Danny Ward for 10m? He's better than him. And that's the price for a reserve keeper at a 'top' club.

Fair point.
I hope people don’t jump on my back for this but keepers who face lots of shots per game always seem to look like world beaters. That said, he’s kept 2 clean sheets.
Coverage like MOTD earlier will certainly boost his value mind.
I stick by my £5-6M atm.

You can't stick to your price by moving it
Your right about the amount of shots but in this market you will be lucky to get much for 2-6m

What a load of tosh he would easily get in the top 12 if not higher if people were asked to rate each teams Number one.

Ok lets test it, is he better than these keepers ?
Liverpool - Alison - No
Man city - Edison - No
Spurs - Lloris - No
Man utd - De Gea - No
Arsenal - Leno - No
Everton - Pickford - No
West Ham - Fabianski - No
Leicester - Schmeichael - No
Burnley - Hart - No
Bournemouth - Begovich - No
Chelsea - Kepa - No
Brighton - Matt Ryan - No
Saints - Mccarthy - No
Newcastle - Dubravka - Maybe
Fulham - Rico - Maybe
Wolves - Patricio - No
Huddersfield - Lossl - Yes
Palace - Speroni - No
Watford - Foster - No
Would you really put him in ahead of those other than the huddersfield keeper ?
Then we have reserve keepers who are also better like:
Nick Pope
Tom Heaton
Claudio Bravo
Petr Cech
Vorm
Cabballero
Hennessey
I would have nearly all of those keepers as our #1 if they were in the squad
We have a good goalkeeper who is getting better every week but hes nothing special and saying hes worth £10mill plus is a bit exagerated in my opinion.
Etheridge is a great shot stopper but the rest of his game is average

Shot stopping is the biggest part of a keepers game for fucks sake
None are particularly good at commanding the box for set pieces anymore it’s not like the old days most stay rooted to their line now
As I said earlier he would not concede many more than Alison if he was playing in that Liverpool side as he not that far behind in terms of shot stopping so why can’t he be worth 20% of Alison’s ridiculous fee?
