I have seats from work in the Ninian Lounge area, do you think I’ll be okay with an away scarf given the circumstances?

On 31 October 2018
Missed my chance with the away end. Only option now looks like home end close to away section. Do you think that given the circumstances that should be a safe option this week? Just to take part in the tribute.

Seen a few on here that are travelling down anyway, not sure if they're going home end too.

The Family stand is next to the away end (Behind the goal) and I believe that's now sold out, the only other place near the away end is the Ninian stand which, on a normal day can get a bit feisty, but I don't think there'll be any problems. From what I can tell, a lot of City fans will be holding up their scarves as well as you.

Cardiff are still saddled with a bad reputation, probably deserved "back in the day", but apart from the few idiots that every club has, we've moved on. You'll have no problems on Saturday.

Could well be 6000 Leicester fans there as there's about 3000 tickets left for the home fans.

In the circumstances we'd do exactly the same, no issue with this.

On radio they said there will be Leicester fans in with home fans and all courtesy will be given to them by club And that is correct thing to do... so if fans find opposition fans with them make them welcome its the right and decent thing to do on this occasion.

Then again the way some are talking on here we most probably all wear red tops to honour him.

Surely , if they are signing Leicester songs rather than singing them then only people who understand sign language will know what they are saying :?:

No, of course not, was referring to the same circumstances, ie a beloved owner who had won us the Premiership and bonded with both the supporters and the local community.

Under no circumstances should Leicester fans be picked on. If they score and jump up it will be understandable and any Cardiff fan would do the same.

CCFC is under the microscope tomorrow so any idiots will reflect badly on the club. It's an opportunity to show the world that the days of violence are gone.

Normally, if away fans get into the home end, they need to be careful, not wear colours, keep quiet etc, but this is an exceptional set of circumstances. If Leicester fans are slapped about, the whole media will turn and Cardiff City’s reputation will be in bits. If they score, the last thing on my mind will be to take it out on away fans. It’ll be to encourage a fight back on the pitch.

Tribalism is one thing. Hooliganism is another.

Having read some of the comments on here the last few days, I’m worried about today.

As a Leicester fan, who doesn’t have a ticket for today’s game, I can understand why some Leicester fans would opt to buy a ticket in the home end. I was tempted.

Having said that. I’d imagine that any Leicester fan in the home end will not be giving it the big ‘un, ‘if’ we score.

Most of our fans just want a chance to pay their respects and be with the players and other supporters.

I can’t imagine they’ll be any need for slapping anyone!

They’ll get the chance to do that when they play at home.
This isn’t a memorial match this is a premier league game and one that we need to win.

It’s sad but it’s going to far.
