Because he’s League 1 quality.
That song brought along hype.
Not even a good championship striker imo

He’s only had one season their in his career so don’t really see how you can say he isn’t champ quality when he hasn’t been given a proper chance he will score 20+ for Wigan this year.

Well you can say it because he play a whole season there and only scored 7 goals.
How many seasons do you need to have?
He had a proper chance 38 appearances 7 goals.
He’s basicaly Eoin Doyle but with a catchy song.

So we can judge players from one season then I guess Vardy also wasn’t good enough then as he only scored 4 goals in his first season in the champ. It’s pathetic to even suggest a player isn’t good enough after 1 season at that level, especially strikers as so much depends on how their team is doing and creating chances for them. Wigan were awful that season so 7 goals isn’t bad.

Vardy is a one off.
You can’t really compare his rise to anybody’s.
He’s Eoin Doyle 2.0

You are right, after one season you cannot say someone isnt Championships standard but we have to apply the same logic. After a decent start to the season we cannot assume he is the next Vardy and is worth 10 million.
I would rather not take a 10 million risk on an unproven player, but pay an additional 5-10 million on a proven player at that level.

You are talking utter nonsense.
Andrew Johnson-1
Troy Deeney-2
Danny Ings- 3
Glen Murray-6
I guess everyone should have realised none of these were good enough for the champ after one season aswell

I'm actually confused about how we let former targets like Lewis Grabban and Josh Windass go to somewhat unfashionable clubs for not much money. Neither is Jimmy Greaves, but they could both have done the job for us

We didn’t let Grabban go we didn’t want him in the end and I’m not sure Windy Arse was ever a serious target.
