Let's be honest that's not ideal for either Bournemouth or us with them being our last friendlies.

The stat that bodes well ahead of Bournemouth

Cardiff City are set to begin their first Premier League campaign for five years next weekend and if their recent history is anything to go by, they could be in for a successful afternoon.

Bookmakers.tv has put together a league table of all 92 clubs in the English pyramid based on their results for every opening day fixture of the season from the last 10 years.
Cardiff emerge a creditable sixth - beating Liverpool and Arsenal among other Premier League heavyweights. The findings show:

Cardiff City has won half its open day games in the last 10 years
The Bluebirds have only conceded one game this decade
They’ve secured 19 points with a total of 12 goals scored by the team

At the game but didn't show replay did it just go through 2 sets of legs or was it deflected through goalies legs?

I hope Peltier isn’t starting for us next week. He’s no PL player.

Get used to it, this is the best we got. Don't be surprised if this is the starting 11 next Sat.

Through morrisons legs then a slight touch off Bamba and through Etheridges legs

Pretty poor all round

Etheridge needs to work on his technique when collecting a ball because doing the splits to collect a low ball like that leaves you knackered if the ball takes a small deflection

The Betis midfielder and captain Joaquin is exactly what we need for this season. What a classy player he is bossing the midfield with ease.

No blame attached to Etheridge at all! It deflected off Bamba from close range and changed the balls direction!! Oh - Bamba :bluebird:

Yes it went so slow couldn't believe he didn't save it thought was a deflection but even so shouldn't have gone through legs. :o

I like Etheridge and he deserves his shot at the premier league but to say no blame at all is a bit easy on him. His body positioning especially his right leg which should be tucked underneath his body to prevent exactly that happening was poor for a proffesional goalkeeper in my opinion. He was doing the splits leaving him unable to adjust to deflections.

Peltier is going to struggle next season, it's hard to believe we haven't brought in a right back.
