In a democracy, as any group grows in numbers their social and political influence increases. In Islam’s case do you think this is good for our country.

do you think wanting to stop a person from entering a country based on their religion is centre ground?

The premise to the poll is a fallacy. You are telling me I am totally disillusioned and yet strangely I am not?Nuclearblue wrote:Centre ground, Anti Islam, anti mass immigration
Anti-Islam and anti mass migration may be centre ground amongst you and your mates but most would describe it as far right. All you are really suggesting here is that half the options are far right therefore far right represents 50% of the electoral spectrum and therefore is mainstream. In reality it represents 2% of right wing nutters that are grossly overrepresented on this board.

ANTÓNIO GUTERRES, Secretary-General of the United Nations wrote:... citing an alarming rise in xenophobia, racism and intolerance — including anti‑Semitism and anti‑Muslim hatred — he said far-right political parties and neo‑Nazi views were similarly seeing a resurgence. Meanwhile, refugees and migrants were systematically denied their rights and unjustly and falsely vilified as threats to the societies they sought to join. Calling on all people to consider how they could better promote tolerance, inclusion and respect for diversity, he said messages of hatred and the concept of “us” and “them” must be eliminated. “Let us keep in mind the grave consequences of such thinking — discrimination, slavery and genocide,” he stressed, adding: “We must always stand up to leaders who spread their toxic vision of racial superiority, especially when they couch it in sanitized language to denigrate migrants and foreigners.”

You are seriously comparing the UK today with the Stone Age Cultures of Australia and the US?
Would you like me to make flash cards for you with pictures and large letters?

Please tell me that was a joke, if you're stopping people from entering a country because of their religion then by definition the policy is to stop a person from entering based on their religion.. dont think you honestly thought i was referring to a political stance of stopping one muslim bloke from entering the UK? surely?

Okay i'll bite and answer the question.. who decided it was 'our' country? who is 'our'? because i know muslim lads who are currently enrolled in the forces, i worked in community work and met islamic families whose parents and grandparents had fought alongside 'ours' in ww2. infact millions of muslims fought alongside 'ours' in that war and we didn't complain about their 'political influence' then im pretty sure.
i know muslims involved in charitable work, working with people that 'our' people have ignored and neglected. there are also many involved in every other area of life because they are normal people not some kind of cult trying to burn the british flag.
so no, i don't think theyre a threat, yes they have added to our country and should be allowed a say in politics as everyone who resides here should, and the snobbery that you are more british than a british muslim is ridiculous.

Stone Age is a measure of their technological development.
Neither the Native Americans nor the Australian Aborigines had a Bronze Age or an Iron Age.
Now don't you feel really stupid?
