Yeah I think this poll is too simplistic and mixes two times of left/right scales, there is left/right economic (socialism v capitalism) but also left/right social/libertarian/authoritarian/conversative scale (liberals v traditional conservatives). There are a lot of socialists who are very left wing economically that are opposed to open borders because they believe it drives down wages and waters down a sense of community. A lot of the left wanted to leave the EU, look at people like Tony Benn, Arthur Scargill, Bob Crowe, Dennis Skinner etc.

I think a lot of people on the left welcome some immigration, want to help refugees and hold nothing against those looking to better themselves but at the same time don't want to see massive capitalist organisations exploiting freedom of movement to pay workers less.

All you are really suggesting here is that half the options are far right therefore far right represents 50% of the electoral spectrum and therefore is mainstream. In reality it represents 2% of right wing nutters that are grossly overrepresented on this board.

i would imagine the vast majority have considered how mass immigration has panned out historically..and to some degree are concerned.doesnt make a person having these thoughts far right or far left.

Okay i'll bite and answer the question.. who decided it was 'our' country? who is 'our'? because i know muslim lads who are currently enrolled in the forces, i worked in community work and met islamic families whose parents and grandparents had fought alongside 'ours' in ww2. infact millions of muslims fought alongside 'ours' in that war and we didn't complain about their 'political influence' then im pretty sure.

i know muslims involved in charitable work, working with people that 'our' people have ignored and neglected. there are also many involved in every other area of life because they are normal people not some kind of cult trying to burn the british flag.

so no, i don't think theyre a threat, yes they have added to our country and should be allowed a say in politics as everyone who resides here should, and the snobbery that you are more british than a british muslim is ridiculous.

You seem to be missing the simple point, AS NUMBERS GROW political and social influence increases. Personally I don’t believe Islam is compatible with our society, we already have numerous Sharia courts operating in the U.K. the insidious spread of Wahhabism is concerning, Halal food is the norm in schools, hospitals and supermarkets. The Holy Trinity of those who claim socialist credentials was always womans rights, animal rights and gay rights not anymore, none of these groups are well treated under Islam but Islam trumps every other groups rights. Inevitably as the number of Muslims increases these groups will suffer more.
