MY VIEW:CARDIFF TONIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR BIGGEST LEAGUE CRO

My View / Opinion

CARDIFF TONIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR BIGGEST LEAGUE CROWD FOR OVER 40 YEARS LOST ONE NIL AT HOME TO WOLVES

CARDIFF CITY MISSED TWO PENALTIES IN THE LAST THREE MINUTES :o

For me that was shocking

Over 29,000 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Tonights game was end to end and a very exciting game as both teams went for the 3pts.

Cardiff City missed two penalties in the 94th min & 95th min by Gary Madine and Junior Hoilett

Neil Etheridge was my man of the match :bluebird: :bluebird:

Wolves are 9pts ahead of Cardiff City now

Wolves looked the better side over all.

First-half: Very close, even stevens in the end :bluebird:

Cardiff City: Etheridge; Peltier, Morrison, Bamba, Bennett, Gunnarsson, Bryson, Paterson, Wildschut, Hoilett, Zohore.

Subs: Murphy, Manga, Traore, Damour, Pilkington, Mendez-Laing, Madine.

Started immediately end to end football :bluebird:

In the 6th min Neil Etheridge made an excellent save and again in the 7th min :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird:

After 20 minutes it was goalless, but the Bluebirds had come into it in the last five minutes.
HT: Cardiff City 0-0 Wolves

A close half in the end, one that Wolves started really well, but Cardiff soon settled and had chances of their own.

It was anyones game.

H/T 0-0

48th min Wolves had a clear cut chance Etheridge was beaten, but thankfully Wolves hit the post.

Not long after Callum Paterson went off injured replaced by Mendez-Laing.

Paterson hurt his ribs, latest report.

66th min a wonder free-kick by Wolves, made it 0-1

Wolves then had another shot wide of the Cardiff goal.

Gary Madine replaced Yanic Wildschut just after Wolves Ruben Neves fired inches wide.

83rd min Anthony Pilkington replaced Kenneth Zohore.

Then in the closing stages Aron Gunnarson shot wide.

Wolves also missed an open goal after beating Neil Etheridge.

Cardiff City missed two penalties in the 94th min & 95th min by Gary Madine and Junior Hoilett

F/T 0-1

Warnock is going to get it for that at the end. No idea what started it but he told the wolves manager to f off at least 3 times.

Good match got to take your penalties. Let's move on we will beat Villa.

Their manager, all I will say is that people like him are a cancer on society.

Wolves will win the league and I think we will struggle to contain auto place.

Simply not good enough, missing 2 pens is abysmal, Madine didn’t look like he give a fcuk and we paid 6 mill for him

Can’t blame anyone but ourselves.

Two awful penalties.

Fair play to Wolves, that Neves goal was good enough to win any match. They’ll win the league now and they deserve it.

Got to get our heads back up for Villa on Tuesday.

The gap could be two points tomorrow.

Let's hold off slagging the lads off. The best team in the division relied on a great free kick to beat us and when have you ever seen any side miss two pens like that. Play like that for the rest of our games and We'll hit the autos!

We are Cardiff city. We will do it the hard way! No slagging the team off. We edged it imo. 4 wins will do it. We can and will do it

they've spent millions on players who are worth every Euro. We sign Madine

The better side won tonight. I said earlier this week that I would take a point if it was offered. This was always going to be a difficult one. Eight wins, one draw and one loss is still a good set of results, and there is no disgrace in losing to a side who will be in the PL next season. I still think 91 points is the magic figure, and I still think the second promotion spot could go down to the wire. All to play for, and we are right there. A brilliant season so far, one final push and hopefully we will do it.

Fulham will have a different pressure now. See how they cope before we all panic

Exactly, still entirely in our own hands. Awful performance tonight and a strange selection from Warnock. Wildschut is awful, Madine even worse. Lots of players gone off the boil, can't help thinking finding a place for Gunner has derailed us.

Re: MY VIEW:CARDIFF TONIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR BIGGEST LEAGUE

Fri Apr 06, 2018 9:29 pm

Who on earth would let Madine take the penalty....a two yard run up...was never going in,two misses, this could prove costly!

Re: MY VIEW:CARDIFF TONIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR BIGGEST LEAGUE

Pilks should have taken both pens.
onwards and upwards but as i said on another thread yesterday squeeky bum time, warnock will have them up for villa and hopefully ralls will be back for gunnerson.

It would've only one pen if we'd scored the first one but hey ho shit happens move on to the next one.

Agree about Etheridge MOM,thought Gunner was poor tonite.

Re: MY VIEW:CARDIFF TONIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR BIGGEST LEAGUE

Fri Apr 06, 2018 9:43 pm

Better team lost. Wolves came for a point. Etheridge should have kept out the free kick too. Not even gonna start on the penalties. We lacked composure at crucial times.

Anthony Pilkington, everyone backs him over the other two in terms of having the bottle to slot a penalty for us in the most crucial games. Why the management see it differently?
