The run they are on wont last forever they will drop points somewhere.
Villa are a bigger worry at the moment but as we have to play them that could be a promotion decider

Still all to play for - No easy games in this league .

Surprise surprise. Cardiff get no air time. Biased as f..k .. thing is we have not played fantastic football all season but table don't lie and still second.

Love it. Under the radar. Just how Warnock likes it as well.

I see they covered the Villa and Fulham games from the studio and we got the stadium reporter.

Another chance this weekend to extend the gap between us, Villa and Fulham.

We're home to Birmingham
Villa home v Wolves
Fulham away v Preston

With a game in hand over Fulham, potentially 11 points clear of them come next Tuesday.

And wolves to Leeds tomorrow, we could go level with them Saturday although I hope they beat villa....

The first five games of the season. we were fantastic, since then we have been solid and professional, and if it wasn’t for a terrible run of injuries over Christmas we would be up by now !!!

Yes or a draw would possibly be even better.

Everyone going on about Fulham’s amazing run.. this is the form over the last 8 games, not including tonight.
They are no closer to us now than they were 8 games ago

Normally I’d agree but there’s definately question marks over wolves at the moment

I agree, Bonatini is having a goal drought, Diogo Jota has had a hit in confidence hence why he's been dropped to the bench, Wolves midfield has collapsed without Neves and he's suspended against Leeds, so even though I think they'll have enough against Leeds, you never know.

Fullham are on an amazing run, but what’s more impressive is how we’ve gained on Wolves to only 3 points. It’s going be tight on the automatic spots, but it could be anyone from Wolves, Villa, Fullham, and City

How can they catch us, if their record over the last 5 games is slightly behind ours (5 straight wins for us and 4 wins and a draw for them) which puts us 2 points to the good over them in my reckoning!

Fulham on a good run but so are we. They have to win at least two games more than us with a game less to play and also need to get past Villa on their way!

The Championship is tough and unpredictable (as we almost found out tonight) and it's unlikely Mitrovic and Sessegnon can keep on scoring at the rate they have

City, on the other hand, have goals throughout the side! ;) :thumbright: :ayatollah: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Looking at Fulham’s run in, it looks a cakewalk compared to ours.

We are 5 points ahead with a game in hand and a much easier next fixture with only 11/10 games left I know who I'd rather be in the mangers shoes of and thats definetly Cardiff.

Plus whoose to say us and Fulham wont be top 2 anyway :ayatollah:

the "experts" also said Wolves were home and dry.

Fulham will blow up, same as everyone does.

Cardiff, Villa up & Borough win the play off.

The only expert that has any credibility is NW. North of the table all season and flying under the radar of the clueless MSM pundits. As the gaffer would say, 'Fabulous'. No one likes us and we don't care - and long may it continue.

Leeds v Wolves will be interesting, if Wolves don’t win then the pressure on them will be getting bigger. For example, even if they get a point and the rest of this happens:

Leeds v Wolves - DRAW
Cardiff v Birmingham - HOME WIN
Preston v Fulham - AWAY WIN
Aston Villa v Wolves - HOME WIN

IF, and it’s only an if obviously, this is how the table would look with ten games to go (Fulham would have nine to go):

Wolves - 74 points
Cardiff - 73 points
Aston Villa - 69 points
Fulham - 68 points

That is why I think Wolves have to win at Leeds. I can’t see them winning at Villa (I expect them to lose that). If they don’t win either of those two games, it will be five games without a win and their huge lead evaporated. Confidence is a huge factor in any clubs going for promotion, as we can see by us and Fulham. In reality, Villa messed up. They had a chance to get a lead over us before our winning streak but got a few dodgy results. That’s what I mean by confidence.

Wolves are in danger of messing this up completely. After the weekend, there’s a strong possibility they will be the team in the top four who are out of form going into the final stretch.

I think they’ll draw at Leeds and lose at Villa. Their main man Neves is suspended for the Leeds match.

As a side note, I genuinely feel out of the top four that Fulham are the only club who could bounce back in the play-offs. I don’t think Wolves would do it because of shock at not winning the league and their fans would be more edgy than other club’s.
With us and Villa, I think the disappointment would be too much.

I’ve stuck a tenner on Preston to go up at 14/1. There’s normally a team that unexpectedly makes the play-offs, and I think it could be them. If they then make the top six, they’re difficult to beat.

That reply went on longer than I expected

I agree with all of that. Good choice Preston.

I actually think it will be:

1 Wolves
2 Aston Villa
3 Cardiff
4 Fulham

If 1 and 3 switch, that will be perfect... or 2 and 3.

Catch us... We could be down to 10 games with almost a 10 point gap. Are we really going to lose half our games and Fulham win all 10? Come on
