Lee Camp agreeing a deal with Sunderland

Looks likely deal to be done.

LEE CAMP?

@Phil__Smith
Hesitant as things changing so quickly today... but #SAFC hoping to get deals for Lee Camp and Ashley Fletcher over the line tonight

Makes sense. Free up wages. He's got to be on more than Etheridge and definitely Murphy. And they've both proven able enough.

I wouldn't even care if he left, never really understood why we signed him and when we got Etherdige I always thought he was gonna be first choice. :ayatollah:

Yes also coming to stage of season when 3 keepers are not needed :old:

Another complete waste of money by the club.

Signed when injured, continues to be regularly unavailable and about 100 years old.

Get rid if possible - made a nice few bob from the club whilst giving virtually nothing in return.

So we pay all those wages to get him fit then off he goes what another waste of money

Only 2 keepers to see out the season?
Surely too much of a risk

Comes out of the pissing away money pot which is topped up by us the cash cows. Cue the comments who say we have it so good.

If true then this would truly rank as one of the worst signings in our history,,, I mean,,, even that Peter Zois fella played half a game?.... :?

What a waste of money, a few failures then Tomlin Camp and a few more

I don't get the camp "waste of money" merchants. 1. Very low wages 2. There will be a transfer fee involved. Even if it's small.

We've probably handedly lost on him. Compared to Tomlin

Apparently Sunderland desperate for decent goalie guess this means he's fit and doesn't fit in with NW plans?

He hasn't played a game' came here to get over an injury then goes to Sunderland, that's a waste of money !!!

Wouldn't mind McGregor back but I'm happy with Etheridge and Murphy.

Absolutely agree with you. Has everyone forgotten the last time we had our two first choice keepers injured?

Two words - Stephen Bywater! :o :o :o :o

Apparently so. Came back off loan on Jan 1st from Oldham.

This would make sense he’s obviously not filling Warnock with any good feelings

Re: Updated: ' LEE CAMP ON HIS WAY '

Wed Jan 31, 2018 9:49 pm

This seems to be a loan till the end of season. To be fair, he hasn't had a chance to prove himself after injury. Warnock did suggest he'd be our first choice.

Even Warnock stated etheridge wasn’t originally number 1 so your comment seems rather odd

I think Warnock didn't realise how good Etheridge was gonna be during pre season and because he worked with Camp he was obviously gonna give Camp confidence in that department.
