New signing Gary Madine is expected to push the Dane close, though Neil Warnock revealed he will consider playing his two main strikers together.
Cardiff will be without Aron Gunnarsson, Kadeem Harris, Lee Peltier, Matthew Connolly and Craig Bryson for the game, while Joe Bennett is suspended following his red card against Manchester City in the FA Cup.
Jazz Richards could deputise at left-back, although Warnock may well call on new boy Armand Traore, who's available for selection after his loan move was officially completed on Friday evening.
Felllow January arrivals Mark Grujic and Yanic Wildschut could also start for Warnock's side, while Adam Forshaw — a Bluebirds target in January — is expected to feature for Leeds.

NEIL WARNOCK ON INJURIES:
"I’ve not had a chance to look at anything but transfers, Peltier and Connolly are doing well, Bryson’s had a good week so we’re hoping they’ll have a good week next week - they wont be involved v Leeds. "
Leeds will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing result at Hull City in midweek when they face Cardiff City at Elland Road at the weekend.
Thomas Christiansen's side have still not won since Boxing Day, losing four of their last six games in all competitions

About Leeds UnitedLeeds United Football Club is a professional association football club in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The club was formed in 1919 following the disbanding of Leeds City F.C. by the Football League and took over their Elland Road stadium. They play in the Championship, the second tier of the English football league system.
Leeds United have won three First Division league titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup. The club has also won two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups. The majority of the honours were won under the management of Don Revie in the 1960s and 1970s. Leeds lost the 1975 European Cup Final against Bayern Munich and reached the semi-finals of the tournament's successor, the Champions League, in 2001.
Leeds play in all-white kits, leading to their nickname being 'the whites'. The club's badge features the White Rose of York together with the monogram "LUFC". The club's anthem is "Marching On Together". Leeds share rivalries with Manchester United, Millwall, Chelsea, and Huddersfield Town and Bradford City in the West Yorkshire derby.
