Should Lee Tomlin Go?

Any one else think we should cash out on lee tomlin
Lets be honest its just not working out for him with us
When hes come on hes not shown enough other than a, few tricks and
Hasnt looked fit enough
And I dont see how he gets into our starting eleven the way Warnock has us playing
Lets get some money back to spend else where before the window shuts

A highly talented player but has fitness problems his time is up, how long do it take a professional player to get match fit.

If he is not fit to start a game get rid of him now.

Then what? Guess the option would be to rescind his contract meaning he is available on a free. Would be a disaster for the club. There wouldn't be a shortage of clubs to take him on a free

If Warnock is not going to pick him and he doesn’t fit his system yes sell him.
But why buy him in the first place should be the question?
Plus the system we play doesn’t always work (our Xmas 4 defeats) so we should be able to vary our playing style.Keep him and use him is my opinion but like I said if he ain’t gonna play under Warnock style he should sell him.

I wouldn't give up on him yet either. He is still doing his community service which means every week he loses one training day. That obviously impacts on his fitness and also means he can't prepare properly for upcoming games meaning he doesn't start which again affects his fitness.

Once his CS obligations are out of the way he can train full time, get fit and take a full part in preparations for forthcoming fixtures.

Fingers crossed we will then see just what a brilliant player he is but until then he will have to make do with being an impact sub.

One day’s easy work, what’s stopping him training in the evening? He’s been with us all this time and he’s still not fit enough and this community service is pretty recent. Yes, he’s been in court a few times but it’s no excuse.
The team would have a day off in the week anyway so it’s not a lot of difference.
I like him as a player and now we have him I would trust in Warnock and keep him for now.

So how fit was he before his off field problems?I don't suppose you'll ever hear it from the horses mouth but I'll bet if NW thought he turn out half as unreliable as he has he wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.Whatever happens to us I think he'll be gone in the summer.

Unless you're sponsoring the player or the club itself, when will some people realise the net contribution of the average supporter towards wages over their contract probably wouldn't even pay a day's wages!

It's not your money but it's so easy to spend and/or give away other people's freely, whilst (not necessarily in your case) crucifying the supplier of said money at every opportunity

Lee Tomlin is undoubtedly becoming a bit of an enigma and maybe the bitter Bristol city fans had a point with some of their comments when they found out we were taking him across the Severn Bridge. I'm not sure if he will 'get it together' at Cardiff City and I'm as disappointed in his playing-time contribution to date (as I am with others, including the perpetually injured Lee Camp) but I haven't written him off just yet in the hope he will be a positive factor in a good second half of the season in our push for promotion

The top of the table (Wolves apart) is starting to look very congested at the moment and City need to go on another run to keep others at bay. We can do it but we need all our players to be fit and able to contribute when asked

NW himself has said LT has missed out because he can't fully participate in match preparations due to his CS commitments.

I would agree his fitness levels are not the best but also we have to admit that his introduction to games against Norwich and Reading turned the tide.

We potentially have a brilliant player in LT and we as fans should try to be a little more patient with his current circumstance. When LT is free to train and prepare full time I would expect his fitness levels and participation to rise to proper levels.

If he doesn't then at that point real question marks about his future at this club would be asked.

Totally agree. There might come a time when we will be forced to 'take a loss' but that time isn't now.

We have invested a transfer fee and huge wages into LT already and we should be looking on getting a return from him on the pitch. We won't do that if we give up at the first hurdle and only 6 months into his contract.

I still believe NW can turn him around and get him fit for purpose. We need to be more tolerant of his circumstances and have faith in the managers judgement.

Played another blinder today. If we thought he was match fit etc wouldn't NW have put him on instead of Feeny. Disgrace paying wages for someone who can't be added together himself fit! How much does he get per week. Maybe he's looking to get rid?
