Apparently Cardiff have Offered 6mill / But I Honestly don't believe it for one minute that Warnock has anywhere near that type of money from Tan.
Be interesting to see what Warnock says if asked?
Cardiff City offer €7m for midfielder, €6m less what Everton would be prepared to pay
By Sport Witness - 29th December 2017
According to a claim in the Turkish media, Cardiff City have tabled a bid for Besktias captain Oguzhan Ozyakup.
The Turkey international is out of contract next summer, and he’s also been linked with a move to Everton in recent weeks.
Hurriyet have reported Cardiff City have offered Besiktas €7m for Ozyakup, but the player isn’t too keen on the move. The former Arsenal player has held a desire to return to English football after his brief spell at the Emirates.
However, the Besiktas midfielder would prefer a move to the Premier League, and subsequently isn’t interested in a move to the Championship with Cardiff City.
These claims come after reports this week Besiktas are interested in signing Cardiff City midfielder Aron Gunnarsson if Ozyakup doesn’t extend his contract.
Last month we covered reports from Turkey that Everton were lining up a €13m bid for Ozyakup in the January transfer window.
At the time it was reported Everton were hoping to commence talks with the Turkish champions, but a move to Goodison Park has gone quiet in recent weeks.

Mike, I will eat it for you
Warnock has only had £1.5mill to spend since July from Tan, so this is complete madness.
Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:28 am
I think we all know this is complete nonsense!!!
Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:28 am
It does make a bit of sense.
Besiktas apparently want Gunnarsson who i would say is probably worth around 4 mill and we could offload before he walks for free.
We need a strong midfielder and they want to get rid of a 10mill rated player who would be ideal for us before he walks for free.
Take 4 off 10 and you get 6mill.
It wouldnt suprise me if they had this conversation over a swap.
Tan said he would not pay silly money. 6mill for a player of that quality would be good buisness. It would be up to tan to make a buisness decision
I would think its doubtful it would happen but is not impossible.

I'm inclined to agree with you,like you say,a conversation at some level has probably taken place.I think the fact that Gunnerson is still injured

adds a bit of fuel to the fire.

A conversation has taken place regarding both players.
I second that Martin, Well done Thomas

Warnock wouldn't be daft enough to take a chance for that money on a Turkish player with no championship experience.
Fri Dec 29, 2017 10:57 am
its true, ive just been talking to him down the vale. Oguzhan's a decent guy.
He asked me if theres any decent schools in the area, so he's going to look at Howell's today.

Would be great business imo. The turkish lad has been wanted by a lot of top clubs in europe arsenal also apparantely wanting him back so if he done the business for us if we signed him would also be an inveseent because his value would increase hes still quite young so makes sense for vincent tan from a business percpective and tan loves business and also trusts warnock so hopefully this one does has legs

Dunno mate,to be honest I don't know much about him but I also don't believe that Warnock has very little money to spend.The term "silly money" seems to be interpreted on here as no money but I think Mr Tan has been won over(just like the rest of us

)by NW and trusts his judgement.The owner knows there isn't that many opportunities as good as the one we have now and a lack of investment now would probably see the wheels fall off in our promotion bid.Also I think that if NW wasn't happy with the funding he would have let it be known by now.

Strange story this and probably a load of nonsense.
From what I’ve been hearing over the last few days, Everton have been looking to bring in the Besiktas striker Cenk Tosun who Allardyce wanted at Crystal Palace when he was there.
I haven’t heard of him in for this guy though. Sounds a bit of a mix up all around to me.
Also, I can’t see Gunnarsson worth anywhere near 4mill as he’s out injured for weeks and his contract being out in the summer where he’ll be free.

im going to take a stab in the dark and say we got 10M to spend.
Warnock has basically hinted at it with the fact hes said "players will go if we don't go up". I dont believe he'd say that unless he knew he had to balance the books again.

I'm sure a player who probably has a choice of some big clubs throughout Europe is going to chose to come to Cardiff on a fraction of the wages he can probably get at plenty of the big clubs.

All just paper talk and rumours. Im sure if a big club really wanted him they would get him.
The championship is a very good shop window for foreign players looking to make it to the premier league.
Especially if its only for a few months on loan. I know its the premier but who would have thought a club like swansea could sign Sanchez.(even though he has flopped)

My Hull stub is getting a little worn after all these years too.
Hopefully it'll come in handy soon.

I guess it's all a gamble. If you could invest in something that will almost certainly double in value, we would all be rich people. I suppose that's the chance a club owner has to take, and hope a player increases in value rather than flop big time.

@Ninianpark
@AnnisAbraham It's true city have bid for that turkish player. Gunnarrsson involved in the deal.
@Richard12545678

@Richard12545678
@AnnisAbraham @carlccfc I just had an interested conversation with somebody who does a lot of dealing at Liverpool & he has told me that the premiership player we might have signed on loan is Harry Wilson, the youngest player to play for Wales. could be wrong. your thoughts !!

As for the Liverpool thing, they have a few players we could use here.
Build up a relationship with them now so we can get Milner off them next season
