CARDIFF SHOWED CLASS TODAY AGAINST A FOREST SIDE WHO HAD WON

Sun Nov 26, 2017 2:53 pm

My View/Opinion: " NEIL WARNOCKS CITY SIDE GET THEIR 3RD WIN IN A ROW " :bluebird: :bluebird:

CARDIFF SHOWED CLASS TODAY AGAINST A FOREST SIDE WHO HAD WON THEIR LAST FOUR HOME GAMES :thumbright: :bluebird:

Cardiff Are now firmly in 2nd place of the Championship and Deservedly so :thumbright: :bluebird:

First-Half Cardiff cruised the majority of it and were well worth their 2nil lead :thumbright:

Second-half Forest threw everything at Cardiff, But Cardiff seemed relaxed and in control.

Craig Bryson and Danny ward stood out for me :thumbright: :thumbright:

NOTTINGHAM FOREST 0 CARDIFF CITY 2 :thumbright: :thumbright:
Crowd 25,210
Away Support 1,305 Cardiff City

Cardiff City:

Etheridge, Manga, Bamba, Morrison, Bennett, Damour, Bryson, Ralls, Paterson, Hoilett, Ward.

Subs: Murphy, Peltier, Feltscher, Halford, Feeney, Tomlin, Gounongbe

24 min Junior Hoilett with a superb headed effort, meeting Sean Morrison's flick-on, gave Cardiff City the lead! (0-1) :thumbright: :bluescarf: :bluebird:

38 min GOAL!!!! A beauty from Danny Ward!!!!!! :bluebird: :bluebird: 0-2 City :thumbright: :thumbright:

Cardiff were cruising in a game you suspected was going to be a bit like Barnsley and needing a bit of patience. After taking the lead, the irony is that the Bluebirds looked to have lost their way a little. They seemed to be struggling with their shape and Ward was isolated. With David Vaughan finding a way through Bryson’s lone press, it had started to look a little shaky.

Out of nothing Ward scored a goal worthy of winning any game.

Forest, for all their good use of the ball, only found any joy when Cardiff allowed themselves to switch off.

Lee Peltier replaced Sol Bamba in the 79th min.

H/T FOREST 0 CCFC 0 :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Forest had majority of the ball trying to get back in to the game, Cardiff were for long periods of the game content to sit back.

After 75mins it was then City backs to the wall and Forest went all out for a goal.

83rd min Greg Halford replaced Craig Bryson in midfield for the Bluebirds. The on-loan Derby player left the pitch to boos, but he’s been very good today and for me man of the match :thumbright: :bluebird:

86th min Freddie Gounongbe replaced the excellent Danny Ward.

F/T FOREST 0 CCFC 2 :bluebird: :bluebird:

My man of the match: Craig Bryson , followed by Danny Ward :thumbright: :bluebird:

Three wins in a week
Three clean sheets
Three points clear of third

All that despite missing Zohore, Gunnarsson and @mendezlaing19.

Quality, City. :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

A real 6 pointer looking at the table. A Forest win would have put them to within 7 points of us but a 13 point gap now looks very healthy.

How's your Spanish Annis, did you know all the words or is it a Man of Harlech type song? ;)

We were fantastic today and it could even be described as a Neil Warnock masterclass :occasion5:

Does anyone know if Holliett is our top scorer now?

Not great at Spanish Tony, but the songs are very good so you soon get use to them :thumbright: :bluescarf:

Atletico Baleares are struggling badly now.

My Daughters are perfect now :thumbright: :thumb right:

Another Warnock masterclass. Every single player absolutely superb. Back 4 were as solid as can be, Midfield 3 were relentless, wide men were up and down and Danny Ward ran his nuts off ! Quality boys :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

What another excellent result, and what a great birthday present for you Annis. :occasion5:

There's a steel in this team that runs through every player. The possession stats of 69% to Forest are quite frankly meaningless. We have determination, power, a will to win, fitness and a never say die attitude.

I keep thinking that a slip up is just around the corner but the more this team keeps clean sheets, the more that I realise I should fear not.

Warnock is a genius and in him I trust. Well done City and well done to all the fans who made the trip. Bloooooobirds. :bluescarf:

Ward or Bamba

Was talking to Tony before the game he was showing me the Text he sent you after the Barnsley game

Since patterson has come into to the team we look solid and to think we still got 3 star players to return from injury :bluescarf:

Perfect Birthday present :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

The stats are meaningless as City controlled the game comfortable :bluebird: :bluebird:

If we slip up in one game, Warnock comes back even stronger :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Just back from the game.

1. I've not read about a penalty appeal for Forest but they were denied it. We were lucky that the ref was blind to the incident and the linesman was lining the other half. I don't think anyone in the away section would have argued. The fact we all went that clearly quite should have told the ref it was a penalty.
2. Forest had very little chances up front but they did have a couple of very good ones and thankfully they were very poor up there.
3. Now I have the worse bits out the way we richly deserved to go in the lead and the second goal was specially sweet as it was the next attack after the penalty decision. 2-0 at halt time no one could have argued against it even though we had a bit of luck with the penalty decision.
4. Second half Forest had to go for it and did. Our defence showed this half why they are the best in this division. Forest only had one chance which they fluffed. Etheridge although had little to do made a few safe decisions like palming the ball away to safety from a dangerous cross.

Solid performance. Slowly but surely we are showing we just might take an auto spot.

Yes Ian, Forest were unlucky not to get a penalty.

Solid performance :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:
