Junior Hoilett did a brilliant run down the left, the winger squared for Kenneth Zohore and the Dane fired home! 1-0 City in the 27th min :thumbright: :bluebird:

Junior Hoilett was having a hell of a game in the 36th min, what a goal from Hoilett! The Canadian drilled it in from 25 yards out. 2-0 City :thumbright: :thumbright:

Liam Cooper was shown a second yellow for a terrible foul on Mendez-Laing.

H/T 2-0 :bluebird: :bluebird:

In the 59th min Sean Morrison drilled a shot across the Leedsgoal and Zohore tapped it in from close range! 3-0 :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

City relaxed and in the 67th min,Leeds pulled a goal back as Roofe’s deflected effort went in off the post.

Cardiff 3-1 Leeds

Mendez-Laing replaced by Feeney.

Sol Bamba was replaced by Gregg Halford.

For the rest of the game Cardiff just played around with the ball.

Can't complain with anything about that performance other than we should and could have stuck a few more on them.

Bring on Derby!

I hate Leeds

I noticed at the end, which should be noted, Leeds manager congratulating some City players and shaking their hands. Lose gracefully and sportingly. Can't win them all. Showed respect. :ayatollah:

Couldn't have gone much better! Our squad has shone through today. 3 crucial injuries and all the replacements stepped up to the mark.

Thought the lads were brilliant, my only concern was Craig Bryson, I watched him run non stop tonight, trying to close down players, only by the time he got close to a Leeds player, they had already passed the ball a few times, he just lacked pace to effectively close down, in the last 10 minutes the Leeds players lost a yard of pace to tiredness and then he looked much more effective

Fantastic performance against a great team.

Hoilett and Bamba immense. Crucial for Zohore to get a couple of goals to boost his confidence.

It happens all the time mate, you know you wont get to the ball, but hope any pressure may lead to miss placed pass, did it all the time when playing :ayatollah:

Great first half and richly deserved to go in 2 up.

Second half against 10 men I thought we played it all wrong and allowed Leeds to control the first 15 minutes of it. Then we decided to play it the way you should against 10 and passed the ball around and across the field resulting in us getting our 3rd. So that made up for it.

We were unlucky to concede against a deflection but thought Leeds deserved that as they did give it a go in the second half.

What I'm seeing that most of us are not is that we do seem to be holding well when a team has a go against us. I would like to think we have learnt that from the Preston game. You need to hold your line when the opponents get a hold of the game. Do that and you knock the confidence out of them. We did that against Sunderland and also tonight out of Leeds.

Well done City,Leeds were were the worst team to come here this season.Thought Bryson had a great first half (surprised me how headers he won).Cant argue with Hoilet man of the match.
If fans don't want to come Saturday that's they're loss not mine.

Me too. He was MOM as far as I was concerned. He can have a rest on Saturday after all the ground he covered tonight (can’t play against his parent clubj

Warnock really does have a squad that offer plenty of options now. I thought Bryson was quality didn't stop running and shows how great the loan market can be when used correctly. Bamba is just a beast.cannot fault the players tonight

Same here, thought Bryson was fantastic with his pressing, constant moving the ball and his drive and energy all game. Really baffles me why Derby loaned him to us. was my second choice for MOTM behind Bamba.

Bamba was extremely good however I thought he was slowing down play a bit too much in the second half and holding onto the ball a bit too long, had a chance to put ward through on goal but took another 2 touches.

Trying not to be too critical but I was hoping Tomkinson would replace him for the last 30 mins.

Found it rather pleasing tonight that three of the players the usual suspects on here have slated of late (Zohore, Bamba and Hoillett) all played a big part and were all in contention for MotM with the keeper (Etheridge) not far behind with two super stops in succession!

Cardiff City are top once more and the sane amongst our support (thankfully the majority) couldn't have expected us to be where we are having played 5 of the next 6 around us in the first 10 games

It'll take a two goal win for the Wolves tomorrow to overtake us and that will be tough against a very good side in Sheffield United at home!

No reason not to get behind the team again on Saturday versus Derby County and turn up in numbers! :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Agree I thought Bryson worked his nuts off and showed a great all round box to box performance

Yep, creatively it wasn't his night but he was really key in leading the press and not allowing Leeds time on the ball.

He's been a very promising signing so far.

Certainly surprised me over first ten games. I just hope they can keep surprising me over the next thirty six games, would be nice to be able to watch us in the top flight as I missed the one and only time we have been there since I started following the club. I agree with some other comments about Leeds being one of the worst sides to visit us so far (there have'nt been many yet) and if last night was anything to go by, I doubt they will be in the top six at the end of the season. Hoillett was my man of the match, but there were a few others in the mix. I think we can beat Derby, and looks like Villa are starting to motor. Still a long way to go, but things are looking good right now.
