THE Scottish Sun can reveal one of the men involved in the shameful Lee Rigby chant video faces losing his job after being recognised in the clip.

Plumber Aidan McAdam, 23, has been suspended by bosses at Mears Group, who have launched a probe into his behaviour.

Plumber Aidan McAdam has been suspended by his firm

A spokesman for the firm, which maintains and repairs social housing, said: “I can confirm that he has been suspended and we are carrying out an internal investigation.”

We told you yesterday how cops in Northumbria have confirmed they’ve launched a probe into the video that was shared online.

A Northumbria Police spokeswoman said: “We’re aware of the chants that were made.

“We are looking into these to see if any criminal offences took place and will take necessary action.”

Around a dozen supporters were caught on camera singing about the squaddie, who was killed in a terror attack four years ago, ahead of a friendly match with Sunderland.

Celtic also issued a statement, with club chiefs saying they were “appalled” by the vile fans who were caught singing.

Other fans were seen on camera singing

They said: “Clearly everyone at Celtic is appalled by these events.

“Such behaviour in no way represents Celtic Football Club or our supporters.

“We understand this incident is now subject to an ongoing police enquiry.

“Let us be clear, in the event that any individuals are identified as being responsible, Celtic will take the strongest possible action.”

Tragic Lee, 25, was attacked with knives and a machete by fanatics Michael Adebolajo, 26, and Michael Adebowale, 22, in London.

Distraught Lyn, 50, told how the film of the sickos’ horrific chants had broken her heart “all over again” — as she demanded an apology from club bosses.

The shattered mum said: “I’ve not stop crying since I saw it.

“Celtic need to denounce these scum wearing their team’s shirt and apologise for what they have done. I don’t understand how people can be so vicious about something so tragic.

“I hope the hooligans in this video search their souls and conscience and realise it’s real people they are harming. Lee never did anything to hurt them but they forget he was flesh and blood, my only son.”

Cops in Wearside nicked 21 at the weekend friendly for fireworks offences, breach of the peace and disorder.

Kasey MacKinnon, 18, of Govan, Glasgow, is due to appear in court later this month to face public order and criminal damage charges.

So sad I feel bad for Lee's family. Shame on the support not all . But again minority spoiled it for majority again .it's a harsh punishment of the young man has a family himself and as much as it pains me I still think a bit of lateral thinking is in order maybe a personal apologies by the man to Lee's mum and family .just my feeling but you can't hang only one as there were a few ????

Former Celtic casual calls out Tommy Robinson for ‘discussion’ after threats towards cousin

Friday 4th August 2017

An infamous former Celtic casual has called out Tommy Robinson after the former EDL leader put out a reward to get the identification of a family member.

John O’Kane was the leader of The Celtic Soccer Crew in the late 80’s and early 90’s when the hooligan group were at their most active.

He has recently appeared in various documentaries about Old Firm violence including this on Vice.

He has called out the right wing rabble rouser with a Facebook post after hearing the Englishman had put out a reward to anyone who can name the boys in the now infamous Lee Rigby song video.

A group of Celtic fans filmed themselves singing an offensive song mocking the soldier’s murder at the hands of an Islamic extremist as ‘revenge’ for actions of the British Army abroad.

It turns out one of the Celtic fans in the video are related to O’Kane who has took offence to Robinson’s Twitter post and offer of a reward.

And he himself has put an offer to Robinson, himself also a former casual with Luton Town, to come to his house to discuss the matter.

He said he will give Robinson a choice of two phone numbers… his mammy or The Royal.

Tommy Robinson also got involved with Celtic fans in Sunderland, using his platform to goad supporters on Twitter before hiding out in a shop when trouble kicked off.

Celtic fans ambushed the shop with women and children inside by breaking windows and throwing a flare inside.

This angered a group of locals there to see Robinson and they started to fight with the Celtic fans.

One young Celtic fan ended up being hit with a baseball bat by one of Robinson’s gang.

Once the police arrived and most Celtic fans had disappeared Robinson appeared again and started to film the young boy lying unconscious.

He took specific delight in the fact the boy was lying on a Union Jack pillow with his Celtic top on.

On Twitter he described it as ‘proper nonce behaviour’.

No problem with that and I'm sure Aidan McAdam will get everything he deserves including losing his job and hopefully serving a prison sentence along with all those who aided and abetted that disgusting video.

I must add I really don't understand the logic of Celtic fans because if Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale had the chance they would hack them to death for being vile Christians and non-believers in Islam.

Would be justice but I can't see prison sentences being handed out somehow. The courts are much too lenient on scum like this.
With regards to your second point, scum like that have no logic. They have no sense at all they just think it's fun and f**k the consequences and hurt caused to the family etc.

Steve, I can tell you this 99% of CELTIC fans in Santa Ponsa are Irish and I've never met one yet who supports CELTIC for football reasons.

There can be thousands here sometimes in the Irish area and they sing every night IRA scum songs.

Celtic took a week to come up with their statement. A week.
Noticeable that there was no apology to his mother, Lyn, as she'd emotionally begged for in the media. Their fan base would have gone into meltdown if the club had apologised for their actions.
As for not being views held by the majority of Celtic fans, that poster is right - it's the VAST majority.
What on earth can the Celtic fans that serve in the forces think when they hear their bile every game and then this type of thing?

I was obviously referring to the 'Celtic fans' taking part in the video  Rather than trying to deflect the behaviour of this scum (and for your sensitivities I'm talking about those filming and taking part in this video) how about condemning that disgusting behaviour?

Sorry long post alert - skip it if you can't be arsed  :ayatollah:

But just as an asidefor those who are interested/can be arsed - the article below is actually a perfect example of mainstream media driving an agenda.

It's got a load of constant subtle tweaks to reality that are occurring more and more often in the media on a number of matters that seem to be designed to drive certain agendas.

In this example it's the ongoing drive to undermine and discredit Tommy Robinson by portraying him as nothing more than a far right thug, probably because someone somewhere realises that he has become an increasingly influential figure and is highlighting some pretty big cracks in our society that the government is failing or refusing to address (or often even acknowledge)

As I say they are fairly subtle and unless someone pointed them out many readers wouldn't pick up on them but if you start paying attention they appear constantly and it's like a giant game of Chinese whispers.

For example, this article will now get quoted adding further credibility to incorrect reporting included in it and that'll happen again and again until this version of events, including the bias it presents, becomes accepted as fact.

Then those who don't have the time or inclination to find out more about Robinson will base their opinions on the caricature of him they see all across the mainstream media, and they will dismiss what he says based upon that viewpoint of him.

So examples of this happening in the article below are:

The first description of him is as a right wing rabble rouser - instantly conjuring up negative connotations and conforming to the stereotype that's portrayed of him (and the EDL) as nothing more the leader of a bunch of trouble makers.

A group of Celtic fans filmed themselves singing an offensive song - now that's a little bit light isn't? Vile and disgusting would be probably a more accurate description surely?

But stronger language would clearly make the Celtic fans the aggressors and bad guys in the piece and the journalist is desperately trying to apportion as much blame as he possibly can to Robinson - so the less emotionally charged term 'offensive' is used. Christ it's only one step above banter!

Basically by playing down the severity of the chant the journalist can try to make it appear that this was a football hooligan issue - again re-enforcing the stereotype the media have built around Robinson.

Tommy Robinson also got involved with Celtic fans - again the use of the vernacular 'got involved' further emphasises both the hooligan angle being pushed and puts Robinson as an aggressor.

using his platform to goad supporters - i've stated on another thread that Robinson should have and needs to rise above such provocation now he is gaining credibility otherwise he could undo a lot of the good work he has done in winning people over.

But is calling a group of people that are threatening your family a bunch of muppets really goading them? By using the word goad the assertion here is that Robinson was the protagonist and the aggressor, whereas the reality as far as I understand was he was responding to them in the first place.

before hiding out in a shop when trouble kicked off - another subtle dig and an attempt to taint people's perception of Robinson that is in fact massively bending the truth.

He was in the shop signing books when the Celtic lads arrived and through flares in.

So yes he was in a shop but the way it's phrased it suggests he dived into the nearest sanctuary at the first sign of trouble -the journalist is taking some truth here based on the events and then twisting it to add layers that don't actually exist, so the can paint the desired picture he clearly wants that support his angle. Lazy, backwards facing journalism at it's finest.

One of Robinson's gang - again this phrase emphasises the angle the journalist is trying to push under the radar that this was a hooligan issue. i.e. Two rival 'gangs' one led by Robinson causing havoc on the streets of Sunderland.

There was no Robinson gang, he travelled up for a book signing, with two people one of which was a woman. The locals in the area didn't take too kindly to Celtic fans throwing flares at women and kids in a shop and responded in kind.

The irony is that the journalist who wrote this probably may not even know that he is perpetuating a false sterotype of Robinson. He is probably just another little cog in the media machine that swallows the party line and shits it out claiming it to be news.

Finally, just to say that whether you agree with Robinson's views or not is not the point here - it's just a perfect example of how the media will slowly build an image of someone to fit in with their agenda - it's a perfect death by a thousand cuts approach and we all need to be aware of it - so i thought i'd flag it up this time around.

If TV killed the radio star than CTRL+V killed the Mainstream Media Journalist.

In fact, journalist is the wrong label for most of them, "Governmental Mass Communication Operatives" is probably more accurate.

The truth is out there - it's just not always where you might expect to find it.

Ermm - actually i've just picked up that this article was from a Celtic blog so my point about it being agenda driven was spot on but the point about it being part of a wider attempt to discredit Tommy Robinson is in fact bollocks.

Doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just means this is a really shit example of it.

If anyone want's me i'll be covering my hat in tin foil.

Lee Rigbys mother lost her son in one of the most brutal way imaginable. We could not begin to imagine what she's been thorough and seeing this video had her in tears.

Two nights ago in Santa Ponsa over 150 of them Vile Celtic fans were signing it.

Last night I went over there to video them, but thankfully the Guardia Civil had smashed a few of them badly.

Not all, but much more than a minority are vile.

I can not believe you are even trying to defend them, I would rather not discuss those vile scum with you.

Spot on Annis. This cretin twists and turns at every opportunity using anything to deflect the disgusting behaviour of Celtic fans in singing songs about the brutal murder of an off duty Army drummer.

Despite being asked several times to condemn that behaviour he has failed to do so instead he has attempted to deflect blame by dragging in ISIS/Muslims and Tommy Robinson.

His only concern is for the welfare of those disgusting Celtic fans hence he has lost all credibility.
