Big news coming from the Swans as they hit back at Everton over their pursuit of talisman Gylfi Sigurdsson.
It is thought the Swans have already turned down a £40m bid from Leicester for the Iceman, and they have now slapped a bumper £50m price tag on the midfield ace in response to Everton’s chase of the 27-year-old.

He wouldn't get a game at Arsenal so the above means nothing.

Not at all, he is a headache for us at the moment which is affecting the style of play and team cohesion. A sale is best for all concerned, a sale at £40m+ is even better.

Just hopefully for you this new signing mesa can make up for the guaranteed goals you lose with Gylfi.

Mesa is a defensive midfielder, doubt he will get more than 1 or 2. I will happily bet that as a result of Siggys departure we will score more next season than we did last season, the goals will be allowed to be more spread out however rather than just from one or two sources and situations. More like we saw for the years before he arrived where we played far better and finished far higher.

I make predictions with an open minded not tunnel vision, wether Swansea stays up or goes down makes no difference to me, Iv always lived closer to Swansea than Cardiff, I don't hate Swansea like someone who lives in Cardiff might, I'm just a Cardiff fan who predicts Swansea are now on a downward spiral.
Personally I think Huddersfield, Brighton, Burnley, Watford, Swansea will be the teams fighting the drop, i don't see Swansea with their current crop being any better than that, luckily for Swansea tho I think there will be 3 worse teams than them, Huddersfield and Burnley being 2 of them.

It doesn't come across as an open mind, with respect. It doesnt sound as if it is based on anything.
The players we have left and the players we have brought in only point to a return to the passing style, they are superbly gifted technical players. There were many flashes of a return to this last year only Gylfi and Llorente stunted these moves with their slow style. Both excellent players but do not fit into the style the manager clearly wants to instill - hence the fact that both will probably be sold.
3 teams that are worse or 3 teams we are better than, both the same thing and neither come down to luck. I would say it would be far more sensible to predict a mid table finish, coming off the greatest second half to a season we have ever had at this level that would have seen us as a top 10 side if the 19 games of Clement were continued over the 38.

Selling the best two players who are proven in the prem and bringing in players who are not proven, we will just have to wait and see if they cut the mustard. Don't forget with all this money other teams are strengthening their playing squads too.
I don't know much about this mesa guy, good passing stats apparently just have to see if he can replicate it in the prem, just because they are good in Spain doesn't mean they will cut it in the prem. No one knows how any player is gonna perform until the season starts, look at Leicesters signings, complete unknowns cheap buys and won them the league.

Most high profile player, not best players. Jordan Ayew I think is our best player in terms of talent combined with how he fots into our side. There is no point in having great players if they dont fit into your side, surely you can see that?
