I still think theyll stay up as they have had so much luck over past few seasons. However if they get relegated i will crack open a bottle of bubbly.

We need Hull to win. Then the pressure will show.

I think they'll still survive but I'll throw a party if they go down

Re: " DESPEARATE & DEFLATED SWANSEA "

It wouldn't surprise me if they stayed up. Either way, I think the rot is deep there and whether in the PL or championship, I think there in for another rotten season as more key players leave. I'm guessing that the council stadium's expansion plans may have been put back on the shelf, much like their lagoon.

Re: " DESPEARATE & DEFLATED SWANSEA "

I feel they have 2 wins in their remaining games.

It is looking like Hull now who they will challenge to stay up. Saying that Bournemouth seem to be getting dragged into it. I had a feeling that Palace would be the team to go down instead of the Jacks but they have had a great week and look like they will survive.

For me it is well too early to celebrate yet.

What sort of luck? I don't recall any, I think that is just an excuse personally. We have earned every bit of success in the face of some seriously shocking refereeing decisions seemingly week after week. I don't believe in luck but if I was pushed I would say we have had more bad than good while up at the top table.

We will go down this year though, and fully deserve to.

No such thing. You compete where you deserve to be competing in. That is the beauty of a long term league system.

As the other thread stated, we are nowhere near FFP sanctions. Over the last 3 seasons we are around £7m in profit. We are currently allowed to lose a cumulative loss of £105m. Next season our cumulative losses will be allowed to be £83m. It isn't even worth discussing, not even close to becoming a genuine talking point let alone a reality. That is the benefit of being in the PL for so long.

Someone say palace to go down, no chance in hell, Big Sam has them firing, they've won something like 5 out of last 7 games.

Hull will beat drop as well, under Silva they're playing some really decent football and again their home form is outstanding.

Swansea look defeated, they host Stoke next Saturday and after today's showing with Shaq n co, I think they will cause Swans all sorts of probs then away to Man Utd then they host Everton, Everton will smash them at Liberty.

Bye Bye gypos

If they go down there's a very good chance of legal action from the yanks against the ex directors who hid the shareholders agreement from the Trust from them.

If this happens the. It's unlikely they will be investing heavily in the squad.

Also next season will be tough again in the Champ, loads of sides with parachute payments and a few sides who struggled this year looking at big improvements next year.
Likes of Villa, Norwich, Derby , Wolves and maybe even ourselves will be stronger and challenging for top 6/8 - and of course the other sides that come down, plus the ones who miss out in the playoffs this year.

It will interesting if boro get a result against arsenal.

But it doesnt matter what the other teams do really unless they start winning the jacks will go down.

I think they have a better squad than boro and hull... Just less confidence.

They have fully deserved their time in the premier league and I don't buy that they have been lucky or punching above their weight.

But I hope they go down and we get a couple of games against them next season.

Yes, yes they do. FFP is based on last 3 years regardless of league. Of those that were Prem years you are allowed £35m loss for the season, those that were championship you are allowed to lose £13m. Currently we have 3 PL seasons being our last 3. If relegated we would have the current championship and the past 2 Prem so and so forth. I guess this is where your lack of understanding is making you go wrong. As stated costs against academy and facilities are also not taken into account.

That was easy. Next...

Agree with you on all points. We don't deserve to stay up and fully believe we will go down. No complaints.

I do enjoy the "lucky" argument though. Always raises a smile. :D

If you're in the bottom 3 at the end of the season you go down deservedly. If your not then you don't.

This has a long way to go. If your within 6 points going into the penultimate fixtures, you have a very good chance of staying up in what will look like an unbelievable escape. Your at Sunderland where you could easily win. Hull at a very difficult Palace where I would expect them to lose. Final games will see them lose at home to Spurs leaving you to beat West Brom to stay up. Even typing that made me feel sick.

I wish I shared your optimism. However you are probably slightly underestimating how bad we actually are. We have a chance of staying up but it is extremely remote and relies on Hull barely picking up another point. I think we have scored 1 in the last 7 hours of football or something silly and that flatters us. I almost feel like we need to get relegated to come back stronger.

You say hull will lose at home to spurs. By that time it could be a case of Chelsea having won the title and spurs having nothing to play for (players thinking about the beach and holidays) and hull playing for survival in the premiership, I know who I'd put my money on.

Refs are not against us, we have just for some reason been in the wrong end of a succession of awful decisions. The most crazy being a penalty given against us for the other team handballing it. :D

We are down the bottom because we deserve to be. Just like we succeeded because we deserved to. Luck doesn't come into it.

I don't think Palace are out of it yet by any stretch.

They have Livepool, Man Utd and Man City away and Spurs, Hull and Burnley at home.

They could easily lose against Liverpool, Utd, City and Spurs, fail to beat Burnley at home and they would be right back in the shit, their goal difference is far superior to those below them mind
