' NEIL WARNOCK REVEALS HOW BAD IT IS AT CARDIFF CITY '

Neil Warnock currently has Lee Peltier, Rhys Healey, Bruno Manga on long term injuries.

Plus Neil Warnock has Rickie Lambert on daily treatment for his back and continues to see specialists, where it is thought he might need an operation this coming summer.

Matty Connolly pulled out the night before the Blackburn game through injury.

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2017/03/0 ... diff-city/ :bluebird:

Then on the day of the game after being named in the match day squad Aron Gunnarsson had to pull out as his virus had got worse since the QPR away game, this is why Neil Warnock only had six subs against Blackburn Rovers.

The Icelandic international was unable to play because of the orders of the Cardiff City Club Doctor, and Warnock even said that the 27-year-old should not have played in their weekend defeat away to Queens Park Rangers. He has been a key player this season, even more so since Warnock took over as manager and Warnock has stated Gunnarsson is part of the backbone of Cardiff City's team

“We were decimated. We lost Connolly and Gunnarsson has a virus – he shouldn’t have played Saturday against QPR."

“I had a chat with the doctor and he said that all the travelling and the fact he still isn’t right could have put him out for weeks if we weren’t careful.

“We decided not to risk him though it did make us look very thin because we couldn’t put another on the bench.”

“We just have to get on with it. We should have some back soon, but I don’t know whether that will be in time for Saturday.”

"I needed to strengthen in January but was unable to due to current finances at the club, but I have been reasurred that if we can offload a number of players this summer I can bring in a number of new players.

Warnock will be hoping that Aron Gunnarsson and Matt Connolly are available for this Saturdays home game against Birmingham City.

We need someone to sponsor the stadium name for 5 years and use the millions on players .
Tan has done his investment. No other way around bringing in new finance

I'm pretty sure that any naming rights for the new stadium goes straight into the pocket of Sam Hammam? Or has that deal been squashed now?

I do love the fact that Warnock is so honest and open with the fans.

No matter what happens on Saturday the fans will be 100% behind Warnock as he's upfront and honest - you can't ask for more.

A deal was done.
NO they don't, they go direct to Cardiff City or shall I say Vincent Tan.

our club has never been a magnet for investment or sponsors.

To be honest I have little sympathy with Warnock, he had an opportunity to bolster his squad in January but for whatever reason failed to do so,any manager worth his salt must always take into consideration how injuries could affect his squad and make sure he has sufficient cover

Any major sponsorship deal would go to reducing the debts. I doubt if much would be made available for players. As someone said, we are not exactly a magnet for sponsors anyway. It would probably end up being called The Mighty Cod Stadium or The Spillers Records Stadium or something similar. We may as well accept that there is no money to splash around, and that with the debts already here nothing will change for a while. Warnock is going to have to do some clever wheeling and dealing if we are to be a force in this division next season.

Why are wasting further money on Lambert ? If the treatment was 10 quid its a waste.

I don't see the problem, we have saving a couple of hundred grant a month thanks to loaning these players out, all money the club are saving which could be potentially used next season. Not to mention players like Huws and OKeffe both doing well can only raise the price we can get for them in the summer, more income.

I think its was 100% the right decision to cut back now and spend money come the summer. You dot get many bargains in January.

Well tan is the club so let you off with that one! :laughing6: people say we are not a magnet for sponsors ect but regardles it must be worth something to someone, And club cannot be that fussy can they? Especially if want to back NW next season We must be one of very few clubs without a stadium sponsor.

Wasn't there some sort of "con" whereby the owner could sponsor the stadium and then FFP limits could be increased????

Ano way all the best stadiums are not sponsored. Deffo not worth it now unless we get back in the Prem.

Reverlations past week or so confirms club is for sale but not sure how practical it can be with club around £100m in debt unless tan takes massive hit! Yes it's quite plausible naming rights won't happen until sale of club. Personally cannot see sale being as long as tans 5yr debt to equity plan Will be sooner

at least half the premier league sides have not sold the naming rights to their grounds. not as easy as it sounds unless you have a billionaire cousin that owns an airline?.

The rules were changed to stop rich owners using relatives to bypass ffp rules eg a family member cannot sponsor anything to do with a club owned but a relative! Man c used this to sponsor stadium for around £400m before rules were changed. This is probably why tans company hasn't been used to sponsor our stadium
