' WARNOCK GET RID OF 12 PLAYERS & 10 TO BRING IN '

By the way this is if Neil Warnock is backed by Vincent Tan this summer?

Link
http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2017/02/0 ... -bring-in/ :thumbright: :bluebird:

My opinion going by what Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has said and done so far, I see at least 12 more City players going out and maybe as many as 10 coming in.

I still believe we still have more players we need to get rid of,maybe as many as 8 more.

The players I would move out this Summers including some of those out already on loan

http://www.annisabraham.co.uk/2017/02/0 ... -bring-in/ :bluebird: :bluebird:

Rickie Lambert
Jazz Richards
Even Declan John the player I always believed in.
Frédéric Gounongbe
Ben Amos(Thankfully goes back to Bolton after costing us a fortune)
Ben Wilson
Matt Kennedy
Stuart O'keefe
Emyr Huws
Adam le Fondre
Brian Murphy.
Craig Noone.

I would keep Peter Whittingham as long as his new contract is under £10,000 a week :thumbright:

But I also believe Warnock will want to now bring in this Summer a much as 10 new players,6 that cost money and at least 4 free transfers if we are to challenge for promotion next season.

A Question for the posters on here please, Honest answers please.

Is a squad of 20 players in the Championship plus Frédéric Gounongbe & Ben Amos (both not wanted) big enough?

And No I did not want to keep any of the six players that went out on loan, I just believed in Warnock wanting to bring a couple more players.

We even have Gunnarson saying we can make the play-offs this season, imagine if we missed out by a couple of points or even got relegated by one point just because Warnock was unable to bring in two more players that he says he needed now.

Remember its all about Opinion :thumbright: :thumbright:

Although being a jack, Jazz Richards done alright in mid week. Id rather sell Connolly. Semi Ajayi hopefully shines at Rotherham and is on a nice small wage
1 player i would add to the sale list is Pilkington, offers little for the money hes on
Id keep Kennedy tho if he performs regular and well at Plymouth.
Manga a tricky 1. Probably our best centreback but on a hell of a lot of money and out of contract soon.
McGregor hopefully 1 of the permanent signings, Think hes a good keeper that needs games to settle

I can see whitts leaving if I'm honest, start of January they said contract talks would be soon, heard nothing since

Promote whitts to honorary president of the club and pay him 600k a week. Give him a key to the city so he can truly do what he wants.

20 players is more than enough to see out the season.

We are nowhere near good enough to make the playoffs. Had we have not dropped those points just before Christmas from decent positions in the game the transfer window might and I say might have been different.

Warnock can not concentrate on what he has and can work with the squad day in day out and not have hangers on. It is very difficult to get across messages with larger squads.

If Warnock had really wanted these players then I am sure we would have got them. The problem I have is Warnock is sending out mixed messages and is not consistent in his approach. Also there is a lot stuff being aired that should be kept behind closed doors and IMO with the experience Warnock has, he should know better.

So far in the last two weeks Warnock has said back me or sack me, we can make the playoffs with backing, we have five rough games and if we don't pick up points we are still in a relation fight, blamed the FA for the fixtures whilst other clubs got business done, missed 40 phone calls whilst having a nap - surely that says it all.

With Bellamy working with the first team squad he is clearly being groomed to take over the managers role and maybe he said to Warnock I don't think these players are better than we got so let's wait till the summer l!

I will be happy when we make the 50 point barrier and then things will be clearer for both the management and the the board.

Annis - you continue to back John despite numerous managers not backing him including Malky and Warnock - this is an ideal chance for him with a small squad to come through and prove us doubters wrong and you right :ayatollah:

Gareth, I am disappointed in Jazz Richards and 100% nothing to do with being a Jack.
I was a massive supporter of Andy Legg.

Anthony Pilkington every time we doubt him, he comes back strong  :thumbright:

Manga, a new deal on a lot less wages perhaps ? :thumbright:

Matty Kennedy, Hmmm?

Annis - correct mis read the John bit but is still an opportunity to prove us wrong - personally I think he should have gone a long time ago as I know if it was me at his age I would want to play football.

The Spanish sun has got to my head now :laughing6:

In fairness you have.

I sit on the opposite side of the fence and apart from OGS no one has seen the same as he did in him and that includes a couple of loan spells - for me he is another Joe Jacobson :thumbright:

I rem Joe Jacobson.

Yes I have been proved wrong on Declan.

i think that we are in a worse place now than we was before the window closed but i dont think relegation will be an issue as long as everyone stays fit.

as for going forward i think the players we should be selling are

lambert
wilson
pilkington
noone
kennedy
huws
okeefe

bring in a box to box midfielder who can carry the ball, a good striker, and a winger who is a out and out threat and a few cover players to fill the squad out with a bit more quality and we can push imo but i wont hold my breath

Re: ' WARNOCK GET RID OF 12 PLAYERS & 10 TO BRING IN '

Thu Feb 02, 2017 11:46 am

I agree with part of the list but still want to keep a few of them you added but I dont think warnock will need as many as 10

Rickie Lambert ... agree has to go no good and his wages way to high

Jazz Richards... I would keep still young could get better and on small wages

Even Declan John same as Jazz not going to cost

Frédéric Gounongbe agree go

Ben Amos(Thankfully goes back to Bolton after costing us a fortune) totally agree

Ben Wilson no keep him could be one for the future

Matt Kennedy im not sure of kennedy has something but will we ever see it on a regualar basis

Stuart O'keefe gone
Emyr Huws gone
Adam le Fondre please please go

Brian Murphy. I would keep very low wages and can step in when required a great back up keeper
Craig Noone. I love this guy as a footballer and a person he works hard and on his day can be just outstanding disapopinted if he goes but I understand

I just think, with the right team around him, he could be a superstar again, look at what NW done with Tararbt (spelling ?) he couldn't tackle and had no work ethic, but he give him a free role behind the number 9 and he had the season of his life. give whitts that freedom and have a solid team around him, and he will carve teams open

The only one I've hoped to play is kennedy & John but also glad he's gone out on loan
the others are a waiste of space
Ide personally offer a small wage as you say to whitts and maybe involve him in the club else where also

Re: ' WARNOCK GET RID OF 12 PLAYERS & 10 TO BRING IN '

Thu Feb 02, 2017 3:52 pm

I hope he does get rid of about 10 players. The whole squad needs rebuilding imo. People talk of getting promotion with just a few quality signings but I just don't see it.

Re: ' WARNOCK GET RID OF 12 PLAYERS & 10 TO BRING IN '

Thu Feb 02, 2017 4:42 pm

A good shake up will relieve the ones who have been tredding water last few seasons but 10 new signings will mean it takes time for them to gel.
I have faith in Warnock doing this but if he goes I'm not sure how much faith I would have in someone else's shake up. After all he is the championship king.

Every year he gets a little bit older and slower and won't be able to perform to his best week in week.

Whitts is currently costing us well over £20,000 a week,we can't afford to give him any where near that next season and def not if he is not one of our main starting players.

Def worth £8,000 a week.

Just on the matter of Whitts, the guy showed on Tuesday just how crucial he is to our creativity and the guy just generates goals for us on a regular basis, often through his great delivery. As such, regardless of his age, I think we are disrespecting him if we are offering him £10k a week. I absolutely guarantee that there are championship clubs who would offer him £15k-£25k per week - particularly those who sometimes brush with relegation. We need to be smarter in our negotiations with him, as there's no guarantee we will be able to recruit a replacement who offers the same return as Whitts does.

But Annie that's why I said look what NW did with tararbt he might not have the legs to run the pitch, but he can control the ball, and you don't lose your vision, and passing with age, I mean look at Pirlo, controls the pace of the game. With a hard working team around him, give whitts a free role

For now on he should start every game without him we create nothing.

Goalkeeper: Keep McGregor and Murphy. Ditch Amos and Wilson

Defence: Keep Peltier, Bamba, Manga, Bennett possible Morrison. Ditch Richards, Connolly, John,

Midfield: Keep Rall, Gunnerson, Harris, Holiett, Whitt Ditch Noone, Pilkington, Kennedy, O'Keefe

Strikers: Keep Zohare, Healy Ditch Lambert, Freddy, ALF

Priorities:
1. Striker possible 2.
2. Battling midfielder and another speedy winger.
3. No 2 keeper.

Pilkington does score the odd goal but he needs to go imo. I also see more under 21s going and a total revamp there by CB, he won't suffer fools or prima donnas

Re: ' WARNOCK GET RID OF 12 PLAYERS & 10 TO BRING IN '

You've got to have cash to replace and you have to hope your buyer values what your selling at the same if not more than your willing to sell at otherwise it's pointless rebuilding.
In the summer Warnock needs the following:
Backing

And if he gets that then:
GK priority one with either pedigree or potential
1 x CB
1 x RW and 1 x CAM
2 x ST

I wouldn't over flood the side as one minute fans want signings the next they moan that nobody from the youth is good enough.

I also wouldn't get rid of Huws and Jazz I think both will come good next season with preseason and competition plus I think Jazz has been unfairly judged he's been solid the last 2-3 games

I'd get rid of:
Wilson- poor very poor and at 23/24 we need to give someone an opportunity at backup
Morrison - hes overrated and no captain
John - what is he?! Restart elsewhere
Halford - nothin more than a fill in
Noone- does nothing once he's beaten his man can't cross pass or shoot
O'Keefe - not Warnocks type of player
Kennedy - IF he doesn't impress on loan - If he can't run it at Plymouth he won't at City
Gounogbe - waster
Lambert - past it

We've got Healy and the other young lad who look like they have the opportunity to impress one or two more around the squad next season.

If he can replace with quality and potential then the sky is the limit

i think the 8k and 10k figures are just poster guesses,or opinions.
i think both figures are insults myself and if true will see us play against him next season.
you just cant be offering someone that still contributes so much considerably less than players who never or rarely play.
