At the minute, a season ticket would be expensive if it is to watch a club lacking ambition and being happy with remaining in the Championship. One thing almost guaranteed, is that a City team fighting it out at the top of the league will attract big gates irrespective of season ticket sales. I think the onus is on Tan to show his ambitions. He is the one selling a product to his customers. Like any business, he has to have a product that customers want to buy.

Agree. If the club show early ambition in the summer and look to want to have a go at promotion then the fans will come back. I and many others have seen it countless times over the years watching City, if we are doing really well and challenging the attendances rocket.

I think history will show that if this club is battling things out at the top of this league, Mr. Tan can guarantee gates of 20,000 plus for virtually every home game, irrespective of how many of those are actual season ticket holders.

Steve,
Theres more profit for the club if the fans buy tickets per match and I believe we would get 15,000 plus season ticket holders if Tan guarantees to back WARNOCK![]()

I would hope that it said something like the follow:
On behalf of Tan Sri Vincent Tan Cardiff City Football Club wish to announce that it intends the season 2017/18 to be an automatic promotion year
On there being 18,000 season tickets sold the club will make good its promise to release suitable funds to Manager Neil Warnock so as to achieve the clubs goal.
Tan Sri Vincent Tan wishes to make clear that a play off position would be deemed a failure and that automatic promotion is the clubs ambition.
I think such a statement needs to be short and sweet. Supporters should be in no doubt what the plan is. And potential transfer signings need to be in no doubt that they are moving to a club with a Newcastle Style ambition.
The Club, players and supporters should all be moving in the same direction and only then will we get promoted.

Annis, I think a statement of support from Vincent Tan for Neil Warnock and next season would have a massively positive affect on season ticket renewals, which would result in far higher purchases for next season

Norms,
I second that, City need to give out no more bullshit, no more talk and just back Neil Warnock this summer and under Warnock I believe the fans will return in their thousands![]()

Total agree, nail it to the mast and follow it with some signings and the city fans will come back without doubt. We are starting to see a shift and that's down to NW, for me it changed at Bristol. A realisation how much they want it.
