I agree it would of, we need a new striker ASAP and our defence is awful

Sloppy defending but lots of positives and negatives, overall I think you have to be pleased with the fightback as thats what you need to fight your way out of a relegation battle! For me we still have momentum and other teams need to fear us!

All in all, a terrible result going into another run of tough games.

Let's see what happens in January.

Saw on here this week somebody thought they had got a good deal with the bookies at 40/1 for a play off place. Bookies are never generous, and only someone wanting to throw their money away would bet on us at 100/1. This season is all about survival. We need more than a striker to get us even into the top 12, and quality players released in January are few and far between. Could be a tough period coming up.

First things first, let's be honest: we were the better team from start to finish. First half, we should have scored 4 or 5. Barnsley's 3 goals in first half came from very quick counter attacking, but it was our own cock ups that allowed those attacks to turn into goals.
Second half was disgusting from Barnsley - I hate seeing teams deploy those kind of tactics. Their keeper should've been sent off from where I was sitting, not just given a yellow. The referee got EVERY big call wrong, possibly worst performance by an official that we've seen at CCS this season.
I defended him after the first goal, but by the end of the game, Amos' performance was inexcusable. 3 of the 4 goals came purely due to his bad decision making, and he didn't even make an attempt to save the other. For their winner, looked like he just chickened out when their player went in for the ball with his boots up.
Shocking. I genuinely thing Amos has to be dropped after that, regardless of whether we've got a replacement coming in for him.
Gunnar immense as always, and Whitts was superb too - both put in player of the match performances. Connolly needs to be dropped, and Peltier moved back over to the right so that he is playing on his correct foot, with Bennett back on the left. Playing Connolly and Peltier out of position is killing us st the back, as is Morrison's poor body language

Zohores performance was an improvement on tuesday. Good target man with pace and fight. I don't think he'll ever be a chopra or earnshaw but more of a bothroyd or thorne. At the moment his first touch lets him down a little. If he sorts that, he'll be a massive asset to the team.

Surely we should not be outnumbered at the back when a team breaks from our attacking corner kick. Thought we were more comfortable when Peltier plays right back and Bennett on the left. Connolly always seems to struggle at full back.
We played some good stuff 2nd half but we cannot gift teams goals like 1st half today.

On a positive note Zohore, Gunnarsonn and Whitts were excellent today. We deserved more than we got but whilst Amos remains in the team we will have more days like today.

The refereeing decitions... The same ref that didn't give the stone waller at Newcastle. Hoilette hitting the post and missing a good chance to go 2-1 up and Lambert's big chance to win it at the end.
The most frustrating thing for me was the defending from Peltier and Manga for the winner. These are apparently experienced pros and they let one player muscle them both off the ball and slide it across the box for a tap in. You've got to Push, kick, pull do whatever it takes be professional but you can't just let him breeze into the area like he did. If I was Warnock they would have both been getting the hair dryer, flying boot and kitchen sink thrown at them for that pathetic attempt.
People keep focusing on Amos but they are plenty of other weakness and I'm really looking forward to seeing what Warnock can do in this transfer window and even more excited what he will do in the summer.
