First half was the worst football under Neil Warnock so far,but second-half Warnock must have laid in to them as the second-half City were a totally different team and deservedly scored two goals to secure 3pts :bluebird: :bluebird:

Warnock made 4 changes tonight with Manga, Pilkington, Immers & Richardson coming in.

Now Cardiff are out of the bottom three and face Barnsley home this Saturday.

CARDIFF CITY 2 WOLVES 1 :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Crowd 14,853
Away Support Approx 700 Wolves fans.

Cardiff: Amos, Connolly, Manga, Morrison, Peltier; Richardson, Whittingham, Gunnarsson, Pilkington; Hoilett, Immers

Subs: Wilson, Bennett, Harris, Noone, Ralls, Lambert, Zohore

Both clubs went in to this game having not had a good season so far.
Wolves only two points ahead of Cardiff,so a win for Cardiff would not only get City out of the bottom three, but would see City leapfrog Wolves, yet a win for Wolves would see a five point gap between Wolves and Cardiff.

For me this was a game that Cardiff should win.

With in one minute Wolves had scored from long-range Doherty 0-1
Ben Amos,should have done better.

Wolves took control and found it way to easy to run through us

For over 20 minutes it was awful football by City.

Then finally City improved and City almost went level, Morrsion’s header from Whitt’s free kick skimed the bar.

But over all City were clueless.

There was the first smattering of boos of the Warnock era at half-time, awful by City.

HT Cardiff City 0 Wolves 1

Zohore and Noone started second-half for Richardson and Immers.

WANOCK must have roasted them at half-time as City were a totally different team and virtually stormed Wolves with attack after attack.

68 mins Connolly scored with a header from a Whittingham corner 1-1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Ben Amos Mmade an incredible point blank save to deny George Saville.

Then City kept going for it and bang 86th minute Pilkington shot 2-1 City :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

This was really important win, especially as the other teams around us lost. I hope we can really kick on from here and get even further up the table and far away as possible from the bottom three.

Another win Saturday and results go our way we could find ourselves up around mid table. :bluescarf:

Still need to strengthen in January, if we're up around mid table then it would look better for potential new signings, although listening to Warnock a week or so ago I think he's already lined up a few. :laughing6:

What a game of two halves!
I never leave early but usually shoot off when the final whistle goes. Tonight I stayed on to applaud the second half performance.
Great effort with Whitts passing some great balls and Zohore doing really well as a target man and an assist for the winner.

Def a game of two halves and what a turnaround in City :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Zohore was outstanding tonight, but needs to put the ball in the net ASAP :thumbright:

Agree with that. His performance will give him some confidence and I would like to see him start on Saturday.
Depends on Lamberts fitness I guess.

Thoroughly enjoyed the second half but why does it take us so long to get going and get some momentum. In the end, I thought we deserved the win and hopefully it gives the team some confidence for Saturday's game.

The first half was some of the worst football I've ever seen City play - absolutely dire. Second half was superb, a different team it felt like!

I'd say Immers is done with us now. If I were Warnock, I'd never play him again.

Fantastic fight back in second half noone really took it to them in the second half Connelly bamba who was of the match and Zohar were fantastic second half

I was thoroughly depressed at half time. I cannot remember the last time I saw such a shambolic, shapeless, clueless performance by a Cardiff City team.

Hopefully there was plenty of flying cutlery in the dressing room at half time!

Fair play to Warnock - he saw what wasn't working and changed it at half time, resulting in a vastly improved second half performance. Whatever he said at half time certainly did the trick.

I have been very critical of Zohore in the past but he was terrific tonight. That performance will give him a great deal of confidence and for me he should get a chance to start on Saturday.

so good to see the team showing a bit of what they are capable of in the second half. More needed now on Saturday and perhaps we can start looking upwards for a change.

Great result and badly needed.

Poor first half, flat and uninspiring against an average wolves team. Hats off to Warnock for having balls at half time and accepting he got it wrong and changing it so soon. Immers and Richardson won't play for city again, they have waited for the chance and didn't take it.

Connoly awful first half, different player second half. Craig noones twin brother came on and took people on. Immense. Best I seen him since man city away.

But how about some praise for the fans second half, absolutely brilliant. Don't need a drum just commitment and drive from our team. With Warnock and Bellamy now on board the passion is returning.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe he wasn't ever all that good anyway, and just stood out at a time when we had very little forward quality? That said, I remember his first touch being something glorious...

It's like like got himself the permanent move he was after, than stopped trying.

Perhaps he is just a victim of Warnock's system. Just doesn't fit in nor can he adapt to it :old:

For 25 minutes it was horredous and Warnock has a bigger job on his hands than many fans realise.

David,Thankfully Warnock has revealed he did lay in to them and tell the players to stop feeling Sorry for themselves and what a change in attitude by the team in the second-half,non stop City attacking and never stopped till we got the winner :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Neil Warnock is a winner and thats what he prides himself on :thumbright: :thumbright:
