Friday 11th November 2016
The Wales football team paid their Remembrance Day respects in a touching tribute ahead of World Cup training at Cardiff City Stadium.
Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey and captain Ashley Williams were among the members of Chris Coleman's squad who stood in unison as the nation fell silent in memory of the fallen.
The preparations for Saturday's World Cup qualifying clash were put on hold at 11am as the team and staff were joined by 200 military personnel in observing the Armistice Day two-minute tribute.

Wales players and staff join with military representatives to observe a 2 minute silence to mark Armistice Day
Chief executive Jonathan Ford, manager Coleman and skipper Williams laid wreaths on the centre-circle before the Last Post was played.
Family members of serving military and representatives of the Flanders Welsh War Memorial – the site the Wales side paid a solemn visit to in 2015 – were also present for the classy tribute.
Wales will pay further tributes tomorrow evening when they face Serbia despite being banned from wearing poppies on their shirts by Fifa.

It's more to do with a points deduction, we will be holding up the cards in the stand to make a poppy & the team held a two minutes silence with the troops at the stadium today during a training session, I wouldn't say what we have done is disgraceful, we have just shown our respect in a different way to get around the restrictions posed upon us by FIFA

Good question Annis, as if as a club we don't, then we will be one of the only if not the only PL or Championship team in the whole of the UK that doesn't. It will be very interesting. A total discrace by the club if we don't

It's a game of football FFS. Players and fans will all do their own things to remember the fallen before and after the game.
Let's keep football about football.
I even think club kits should not have a poppy on them
