VINNY TAN APPRECIATION THREAD

Thu Oct 06, 2016 2:35 pm

1. Took us to the premiership under his ownership
2. Took us to an carling cup final under his ownership
3. Paying off our long standing debt
4. Turned us back to blue
5. Got us a good experienced manager in who the fans wanted.

I know a lot of people wont like this thread but like annis says its all about opinions and i for one think our owner deserves credit and backing of the fans. Give us an ayattollah for vinny tan!

ITS A BIG NO THANKS FROM ME AS WELL Wez :bluebird: :bluebird:

Just a note, when Tan joined we were already at the play-off Final v Blackpool under Peter Riddler.

Wez,I've made it a sticky as I believe in everyones Opinions Welcome and The Forum always Welcome Everyones Opinions :thumbright: :thumb right:

I am well Chuffed Regarding Neil Warnock's Appointment :thumb right: , But I believe Tan had No other choice but to now let a Football manager come in,we were just about to drop right in deep shit.

If he's totally left alone and it does not end up messy with a bad departure, like our only other Successful manager Malky Mackay, then I might show just a little Respect to Tan, even though there is so much bad thats happened in the last seven years,it's worth another book  :bluebird: :bluebird:

Re: VINNY TAN APPRECIATION THREAD

Malky took US to Premiership and also League Cup Final and then blew it!
Vinnie the Red almost completely destroyed our club and sold our best assets over the summer.
Appreciation?
Yew're takin the piss but!

We should never have been rebranded in the first place, an utter disgrace :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Agree. I know he has messed up on numerous occasions but he has bankrolled the club over the last few years.
He deserves some appreciation for that at least.
He will learn, hopefully from Warnock.

Wez it's not about getting to the playoffs or getting promoted, shows how shallow some fans are when they think that success is the only factor here in appreciating VT. It's that same line of thinking that got us in that mess with the rebrand but no, everyone heard 100m and rolled over. Well alot of good that investment done!

It's far deeper than success. Look no further than our season in the prem, it was a joke.

VT has torn the soul from our club and completely disrespected our fanbase and there's many people that will never get blinded by success and will never forgive him.

made loads of mistakes but we all do in life learn from them and move on MASSIVE THANKS FROM ME AS I WAS LOOSING THE PLOT WITH FRUSTRATION ! TAN AND Co you could turn all the wrong doing around and get the fans back on your side build your club so its attractive enough for someone else to step in unless you find a second go off having passion for our club and come give the players some support in person on match days just saying !

totally disagree with you it's about watching a team on the pitch wining ,it's sport, success is everything watch the crowds flood back if we are winning, the same old moaners are moaning we are getting poor crowds at the moment ,it's still the same day out I go out speak to my mates get pissed have a laugh win lose or drew but it's better when we win shallow maybe but that's life

Let's not forget he's paying the majority of his own debts off from mistakes that HE'S made here -

- The pointless new stand
-the tens of millions wasted on players and their contracts that we didn't need
- then the terminations of those contracts
-the general diabolical PR and day to day running of the club

These are all HIS mistakes that he's now paying for, he didn't to accumulate an extra 150odd million debt.

The only thing I can thank him for is sticking to his word when he said he wouldn't walk away and leave us in a mess which any man with any common decency wouldn't.

Wez that's fair enough, the crowds will come if we start winning.. And this time were in our rightful colours. Which to me will make the world of difference.

Re: VINNY TAN APPRECIATION THREAD

I will never like the man but I do appreciate all the money he has pumped in. I appreciate the strides he has made off the pitch. I appreciate all the great signings we have made (mainly under Malky) that he made possible by investing a huge sum of money into the playing staff. However, he made a worldwide mockery of us and we have become the epitome of modern football with the rebrand. I will never forgive him for that, never.

Can someone answer me this question though - Why are still banging on about Tans ownership? He's not leaving anytime soon, it just seems pointless to keep debating it.

I completely respect your views but when talking about Malky's departure how is that "messy", it was clear cut, he was a rascist and would have been sacked in most walks of life and many are glad he was !!

Better late than never!! When i saw trollope was taking over from slade i thought oh no here we go again. Warnock has drive its in his blood the right choice. He wants the ground full. On the pitch he will bring pace to the squad. If players are playing well he wont drop them like the last two clowns. It will take time for annis to come round but he will

Tan is the man that made me walk away from Cardiff City due to the red rebrand. I had a season ticket since god knows when and I went to most away games. I lived for City and spent so much and had great times. It hurt and Saturdays were so empty, but I forgave Tan when he reversed the rebrand, pumped money into the club to one day make City debt free and now by appointing NW.

I may even return as the feeling has returned and now I feel excited. We fans need to show Tan some love and all get together and behind the side. Life is too short to keep hating

Re: VINNY TAN APPRECIATION THREAD

Don't think I can ever fully forgive Tan for turning Us red mocking the club and some of the other foolish things he has done. I do however like to look forward not back, he's naturally made mistakes because he isn't a football man and doesn't have football people advising him. He's rectified a lot of mistakes, he's Also put his hand in his pocket and appointed a good manager.

When things go wrong out comes the big stick to smash Tan with, let's hope we can push up the table and move forward next season. Time to talk about on the pitch not off it. :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:
