So what Tans still a wanker. He's facing relegation and Warnock was the best possible option, he's a hell of a lot cheaper than relegation

Re: the anti tan boys

Wed Oct 05, 2016 9:32 am

I agree with the sentiment of there is far too much finger pointing going on and some posters have an obsession for blaming Tan, Choo and Dalman with every little thing that goes wrong.

However, I understand that there have been mistakes and it is fair to point some of those out. That includes the awful decision to give the job to Paul Trollope, although ultimately it did force the hand of the board to do the right thing.

What is utterly wrong is putting information that we had offered Gary Johnson a contract and he was mulling it over whilst at the same time we were trying to contact Neil Warnock's agent. What followed was a stream of abuse towards the board for a decision that was pure fantasy whilst ignoring the REAL fact that we were offering the job to NW.

There are too many with this sheep like attitude and what is more disappointing is some of the more intelligent posters are going the same way just to please people. I just wish posters could be more objective and make a judgement on what has happened and not on the personality of the person who made it.

Let's give the committee a pat on the back for once. At least they've listened to the fan base this time. :ayatollah:

we've gone from trying to recreate a system where young coaches are primed to one-day takeover from the manager (barcelona documentary) to an old-school manager that brings in his own staff and famed for ripping into players of average talent.

players of average talent, you are kidding, most of our squad wouldn't get in a parks side - we are in the relegation zone not only because of Trollope but because we are paying wages to some real shit players.

I have thought for awhile that our squad is more than a little overrated.

Flirted is a little generous we never really threatened the top 6. We are not the worst squad in the division but I don't buy into this theory we have a talented squad and that is reflected in the fact we find it so difficult to score from open play.

We have a functional squad and I'm afraid that to get the best out of them we have to play in a functional way which equates to 'boring'

Tony, I'm calling on everyone to unite behind our manager and team :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird: my personal opinion on Tan does not change one bit and should not be forced to change,I should be respected for my opinion even if others don't agree.
For now we should all put politics aside and get our passion back for Warnock and our team :thumbright: :thumbright: :bluebird: :bluebird:

Practise what you preach then. I think by now everyone has 'got' your opinion on Tan so how about giving it a break? I would love to be able to back the team without the politics I have been begging for that for months but instead every day there is this constant stream of anti-Tan/Choo/Dalman venom which is absolutely soul destroying.

Tan has got this call RIGHT. He may have made got other decisions wrong but on this one he is RIGHT. Accept that and we can all move on together even if your personal opinion is he is the biggest dictator since Stalin.

Good post and I agree with you.

I was vociferous in my condemnation of the possibility of appointing Gary Johnson - quite frankly given the past couple of appointments it seemed entirely plausible that the club would be approaching a manager such as Johnson.

However, you are right in that I and many others jumped the gun and now have to eat humble pie.

At last, the right manager has been appointed albeit belatedly, and for that the club deserves a great deal of credit.

Davids you are a rarity my friend in being humble enough to admit getting something wrong, that doesn't happen too often on message boards. I now have a lot of respect for your future postings.

I can see where you are coming from over Gary Johnson but the thread was deliberately misleading as it stated we had offered a contract to him and then had a footnote that we were trying to contact NW agent.

The thread simply didn't add up but once someone had taken a bite it became the truth and everyone dived in. All I ask in future is for posters to read thoroughly what is posted and be aware that there is an agenda by some to slate the board at all opportunities.

I am not a Tan apologist and I certainly think he could learn somethings from interacting with supporters but I won't join any witch hunt just because someone else doesn't like him.

Steve Day made up the Johnson rumour and the normal anti tan/club boys ran with it to make the club look bad the whole thread was comical

I'm happy with Warnock coming but I wouldn't be amazed if people start getting on his back after 7 games that's modern football sadly.

As for tan I can not stand the man yet lets remember hes made this appointment to save a relegation fight and it pleases the fans also so its two birds with one stone so to speak.

What we need is what people have spoken of already in this thread, the fans to unite and stop the negative crap on here just because of a defeat or in house fighting on here daily.

Results will change all this that's a cert :bluescarf:

Re: the anti tan boys

tbh i think if they had come out and said they were after warnock other clubs such as villa might have started to get interested in him the club has imo pulled off a real masterstroke here i think it's time like others have already said to just get behind the club and let the football do the talking :bluescarf:

Re: the anti tan boys

Its still going to be a tough season ahead , but 6-9 points in the next 4-5 games everything can change .
There's not many points between bottom and mid table.
Well done Vincent Tan on acting before its too late.
I'd love to have an owner who everyone loves , but I'm afraid that's impossible . But at least the pro Tan and anti Tan should at least support the club.
There's no one coming in to buy the club ,the only way Tan can sell is if we are successful .
So even the most short sighted anti Tan fan ,should see that.So get behind the club from top to bottom and you may enjoy being positive instead of negative .

Good post, agree with you. I am quite bitter about the way Tan has changed our club but he is, in my opinion, trying to get things right. His re-brand was almost the last straw for me but if under his ownership we can become a self sufficient club with a visible philosophy that can compete and challenge at the same time as bring young local lads into the first team squad, then I am willing to back him and give him time to see this through. There is also the matter of debt to equity. If that happens, as promised, we will owe the man a debt of gratitude. Who else would give a toss about us?

Tan

Paint by numbers

He has managed to oversee the destruction of our fan base.
This is typified by this thread.

I'm with Annis on this.
Not happy about what Tan has done but more than prepared to unite.

What we all need to do as fans is lay off the politics posts and concentrate on the football for a while.

Ps
Viennas a shithole, I wanna go home!!!!
