CITY HAD TALKS WITH WARNOCK AND HE WILL GIVE HIS DECISION TOMORROW
' CARDIFF CITY HAVE APPROACHED & ARE IN TALKS WITH '
Cardiff City are in talks with the former Bristol City manager Gary Johnson, currently manager of League 2 Cheltenham Town.
Only a small compensation would be potentially payable to Cheltenham.
It is thought Cardiff City have offered Johnson a contract initially till the end of the season and if he keeps them up an extended contract with a bonus if relegation is avoided.
Gary Johnson is thinking the offer over.
City have also said to have contacted Neil Warnock's agent hoping he will talk to them as he would been their first priority if he is willing to talk to them.
The bookies have put Neil Warnock as 1/10 favourite for the Cardiff City job.

I rate his son who manages Bristol as one of the best young managers in the game, but his Father is a journey man who is currently managing a team who are 22nd in the league.
I am at a loss.

f*cking circus continues get someone tidy in ffs who knows the championship!!

Surely after Slade and Trollope they won't be stupid enough to go for the cheap option again.Warnock would be a statement of intent that would please the fans.
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:29 pm
If this is true this is just a complete joke...surely even our 3 amigos are not stupid enough to go down the Slade type manager route again
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:32 pm
Makes sense he knows the lower leagues well did brilliant at Yeovil,a perfect fit in my opinion for a club heading in that direction
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:33 pm
That should put a bit of spark into the players and excitement round the club... Not.
Down we go.
Bad times for ccfc, Vincent tan and his puppets have well and truly fucked us over.

Unbelievable!
Are they seriously looking at a manger whose team are 22nd in League 2?
Yes, it being Cardiff I imagine that they are.
Every manager whose has taken a team down or managing a team in the relegation places of League 1 and League 2 must be in with a shout.
Every failed manager in the league must think he has a chance.
Surely Tan must be looking closely at Warren Feeney? He has all the managerial credentials Tan is looking for in a manager.
How many more examples do we need to show that nobody running our club has a f*cking clue about what they are doing?
Whose idea is Gary Johnson? On what footballing planet do they think that he can save us from relegation?
This club is seriously pissing me off. Keep appointing failing and already failed League 1 and League 2 managers and where the f**k do they think the club will end up?

Who

Hopefully this is bull shit

This is not a good move.
I had dealings with Gary whilst he was at Yeovil Town FC. He is firmly against growing your own youth players as he sees it as a waste of money. He closed the Academy (it has since re-opened!). He prefers to just bring in loan players as it is more cost effective.
Surely we can do better than him?!

No way is this true.. ? Absolute shambles if it is , complete joke
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:41 pm
Hopefully just a smoke screen for their real target, if they take a cheap option again, even the high hards may lose the will to go down the CCS
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:42 pm
At this time Cardiff need an experienced manager like Warnock who can motivate the players.
Unbelievable if the club go again for the ' cheap option' appointing a lower league manager with no experience & no positive outcomes. Why gamble again?

And your source of this suggestion? Is it internal from within the club or from the media - your post doesn`t say?
I am not saying it is wrong , you just don`t attribute it to anyone.

Last managed in this division 6 years ago.
Managing a team just outside the relegation zone in League 2.
He's a proper managerial messiah!
Where the f**k do the club come up with these people?
Is their first task on sacking a manager to look in the relegation zones of League 1 and 2 to see who might be available?
If this is true then yet again the clowns running our club are showing how clueless they are.

Please no this isn't just a cheap option it looks like the cheapest
Warnock please keep us up this season and push on next with a bit of backing
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:49 pm
From whom was this information ?
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:51 pm
Would'nt surprise me, although it's probably just a rumour at the minute. Tan has made it clear there is no money for us. Whoever we get will be a low budget manager. As I have said from day one, the play offs were never on the agenda this season.

Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:54 pm
If he comes in I give up, hello league 1. Laughing stock.
Tue Oct 04, 2016 12:56 pm
We have made an actual offer? You then say warnock is preferred choice why would they offer to Johnson if waiting to here from warnock agent? Contradicts
Tue Oct 04, 2016 1:01 pm
Neil Warnock was offered the job last weekend. lol.
Tue Oct 04, 2016 1:08 pm
He must be in great demand, particularly as he is managing the mighty Cheltenham.
