Just a little thought on some of our dealings so far this season .

Zohore signed permanently no fee divulged ?!lets say wages Unknown

Immers signed permanently no fee divulged ? Let's say wages Unknown however I would think he got some kind of raise .

Joe Lewis gone probably saving us £8k a week
Malone gone Jazz in ,probably costing us £5k a week difference
Osilaja has gone saving us about £1k week at most
There were others released can't think of all of them let's say savings of £5k a week
Fabio sold £2 million in saving £25k a week
Moore sold £500k so we're told saving £7k a week
Adeymi out on loan saving us £10 k a week as we are paying his other £5 k a week
Emir huwes in free ,maybe signing on fee not divulged costing us £8k a week
If we say zohore and immers costing an extra £ 10 k a week from last season
And o keefe has had new contract let's say costing us an extra £3 k a week
All above are only my thoughts on the figures not exact facts but using figures generally put on here
So we have a saving of approx £30 k a week so far
Plus sales of £2.5 million less zohores fee and huwes signing on fee
We still have the incredible three earning £5.5 million between them ,that is ruining our budget
Although the £30 k a week or £1.5 million a year has helped
From this I suggest our dealings so far has not gone far enough to allow us to bring players in
And in fact if we do it will probably be because tan has helped finance it
Quite interesting when you think clearly before knocking the current regime and probable budget
:bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:

Some Interesting economics in all that. Conjecture? yes, but probably not a million miles away with your analysis. As for the three Amigos, they really are a financial strangle on our Club, & I would guess they are probably all holding out, in the hope that their contracts are "mutually" paid up over the next twelve days. Lets not forget how many others have, post OGS's reign,,, left our club in the same fashion!

Totally see your point, I would add also that adhering to stay within the FFP framework is also in the equasion :old:

Still sailing far to close to The Financial Fair a Play Rules, less parachute payment this season, so not a case of Mr Tan deciding to put more money up for players he can't hands are tied.

We need to offload 3 or 4 of the big earners, I would still hazard a guess we have 10 or more players still om Premiership contracts,

its only my opinion but we have to get rid of the three who are costing us the most who won't play for us again
They are costing us £5.5million a year
They are in no hurry to go else where they have no pride in themselves
They are the main cause of our budget limitations

The problem is when a player signs a contract he knows what he is going to earn over x amount of years and plans his life accordingly. Unless someone comes in and matches or gets close to those wages he is unlikely to be in any hurry to go anywhere. Not many of us can afford to take a big cut in our income, and the club and the British game in general is as much to blame for paying over the odds in the first place.

Sadly true, & at the time it seems that Golden Bollocks (OGS) was given a totally free hand in bringing in anyone & everyone!

The other players released during the summer were Kenwynne Jones, Ben Turner, Filip Kiss, Etien Velikonja, Barnum Bobb and of course Eoin Doyle was sold to Preston. So far we have loaned Saadi, Oshilaja and Adeyemi.

I wouldn't like to say how much money the club has saved by moving those players on but the overall benefit, taking into account those that have signed, is far in excess of the £30k you suggest in my opinion. The three we are still trying to move on need to be added to this list, we all know this, but even with those 3 still on the books and being paid I believe we have already gone far enough to allow the club to be signing players now.

Since the end of last season the club has released, sold or loaned out 13 players and we have signed 5. Last season the club used 28 players over the 46 league games and so far this season we have used 18. I'm not saying we need to sign 10 players but we do need 3 or 4 before the window closes. Get rid of the 3 already mentioned and we need to sign 5-6.

We need enough players to compete in the Championship to cover for injury, suspension, loss of form or even tiredness. The reality is 18 players is simply not enough for a Championship season.

It's this financial mismanagement that has plagued Tans dictatorship of the club, horrible to see so many fans taken in by his recent false promises.

Sensible estimation in my view.Might not agree with the numbers but its nice to see someone posting without apparent agenda's.Some on here can't take the medicine for our excesses in our recent past. Was a time when every man and his dog was screaming for financial sense and even Roathy when he was "canton magic" was advocating cutting our cloth to suit our purse.

And now were doing it its all Tan's fault too,you couldn't make it up-Oh,wait a minute

You must think everyone on this forum is as stupid as you. Most of us know you do not love this club, we also know that your sole purpose in joining is to derail as many threads as possible. I will take a leaf out of Pembroke Allen's book and ignore any thread that you are linked to because I know you feed of things like this. You are one sad individual.

Not quite true, you first branded me an idiot for expressing a pro blue anti Tan opinion and then said you were going to ignore me. I am happy to move forward Allen but please do not stoke the flames with other posters.

Willing to move on but don't drag me into every thread Allen, I am happy to call a truce but it's hard when you are spreading lies about me. Including calling me Roathie. I have spoken to Annis and the mods, just drop it and move on because by the looks of things you can't.
