I'm not worried

Sun Aug 14, 2016 4:02 pm

We are will get better what we are trying to do will take more than a couple of games to get it into full swing and it does show that we do need more signings and now I bet some fans now want Trollope out but we need an identity on the pitch and its not going happen over night and wanting the manager out every 5 minutes won't achieve that.

The problem we have is this formation was good with the players in pre season . Once you start taking out players like fabio, gunner and okeef our squad cant adapt. He needs a new formation or replacements quickly or we will be in a relegation battle.

This is only the 2nd game into the season It will take time if it was like 15 games into the season then I would panic and new signings is a must and Trollope should really see that now more than ever.

First home game of the season, surely every manager wants to make a statement of intent?

That was just a complete surrender yet again. There's no ambition at all from top to bottom and we finally have a formation and tactical approach to reflect that perfectly.

E-I-E-I-E-I-O Down the football league we go! At least we can look forward to a derby match with Newport County

The point is when you set up a system which looks promising you stick to it. When you lose the players who are integral to that system to make it work you have to have a plan b . We dont seem to have one. This system wont work with the players on the pitch today imo we need to go back to basics in a 442

I still think its early doors to rip things up and start again.

Were you even at the game?

Our attacking play was like watching a fencer with no arms

No shots on target in 90 minutes
The system looks alien to the players.
Not sure why anyone would not be worried.
As clueless as anyh8ng I have witnessed in forty years, especially considering it was the first home game with a chance to show intent,

That's the point for me - the players look like they have no idea what they should be doing.

At times it was like kids in the park all running round following the ball.

The problem is you don't exactly have a good track record when it comes to football. You have us down to win every match we play, Slade was the best thing that could have happened to us, and Saadi was going to fire us to the top. Excuse me if I don't share your optimism.

It's called being realistic. You may want to check the match threads so far this season. I had 0-0 for B'ham, 0-2 for QPR and had us to beat Rovers after extra time, so a bit closer to reality than some predictions on here. Sometimes you have to look beyond the blue shirts and weigh up the opposition against the players we have here.

Sorry Ryan, but what I saw today is going to take a hell of a lot more than a few games to sort out.

As the saying goes, "the more things change, the more they stay the same". There a serious attitude problem prevailing at Cardiff City FC, & has been for a long time now,,,, & corrective surgery is urgently required, before its too late!!! :old:

Give it time that's all I am going to say look at Coleman with Wales.

I am very very worried, seen nothing so far to suggest otherwise sadly, hope to be proven wrong of course, the club is going backwards on the pitch and I don't see that changing any time soon.

Trollope needs time, but my view is, he never should of been our manger in the first place, we needed a lift as a club, we had a chance to do that, we brought in Trollope! there is no ambition at all at city at the moment, hence the 15,000 for the opening home game.

anyway think we will win Wednesday, but seems a long season ahead.

Saying we will lose is being realistic according to some on here ! It's far to early to point finger at failure and relegation as a few are predicting

I'm with you on this pal, I'm not worried yet. Yes, there are clearly things to work, but I was fully expecting that after 2 league games! I think the calls for Trollope to be sacked already and to bring Slade are far more embarrassing on the club than us not having scored yet!

For me, I think we are finally moving in the right direction as a club (or at least leveling out a bit) in most ways I've seen, apart from getting the confidence of the crowd back, but I can sort of understand why its difficult for fans to be confident right now. :)

I'm with you on this one Rhydo! Unless Trollope turnes out to be the same lying sack of shit Slade was. Give it some time.. It's a difficult system, but leathal when it works. Selling Fabs didn't help though.

If the aim was turning a top club, to a mid table journey club. Yes, he did a fine job.. He took it up the arse, lied about it and cocked it up mate. Now over to Trollope.. But give him time, I agree.

Re: I'm not worried

Say whatever you want on here but I dont see how booing the players off the pitch is going to do anything to help the club! What the hell is that all about!

Re: I'm not worried

Mon Aug 15, 2016 9:06 pm

Can never understand fans booing their own players. I can understand fans having a go at a player who is just coasting through a match and not trying, but most players are doing as well as they can. Not even worth worrying about league tables until around 10 games in. A lot can happen by then, and lets hope after 10 games the players are being applauded off the pitch.
