is outdated. One poster even going as far as suggesting it also 'divides communities.' With this in mind, I was wondering if Admin should take down the ayatollah if it has become so divisive to the supporter base.

but stop asking the players to it every 5 minutes as it is a distraction.

request. Does this matter? Well look at the interest in it, the Jazz Richards sticky is more than 18k, it obviously matters! I can't remember a sticky as popular as that in a while.

I hope Jazz comes to his senses, I also think he purposely did not respond to the fans who made therequest. Does this matter? Well look at the interest in it, the Jazz Richards sticky is more than 16k, it obviously matters! I can't remember a sticky as popular as that in a while.

I've got a feeling Bluebird58, the poster who has put this madness out there is having a laugh. What is true though, is that a huge majority did not feel it necessary to correct him and were more interested in apologising for Jazz Richards. As long as he plays well I don't give a f*ck etc

the actual quote is 'i'm sure the ayatollah causes offence to all sorts of communities, not just Swansea fans.' When I read this and another about muslim players may be offended by the Cardiff ayatollah chant/ritual, I had no other option than to consider if Tan was knowingly being Islamophobic when the new stand was erected with thetribute

Bluebird58 said we should let it die and that it might offend Muslims. Speechless.
Reading some of the comments about the ayatollah on here over the past few days has reminded me why our fan base rolled over during the rebrand. There's clearly a huge proportion of fans that couldn't give a f**k about our identity as a club.

especially if he is playing well on the pitch.
is so important to the supporters why not ask players who are happy to do it rather than pressurising a player who has obvious reservations about doing it?
not because he was bullied into doing it, but because he wants to do it due to developing an attachment to the club. In other words give the boy a break and stop acting like a playground bully Mon Aug 08, 2016 8:42 am

Well said Nubbsy, some pretty mental comments on here. I've heard it all, prob the favourite (and most mainstream) commentary is of how childish the fanbase is 'grow up ffs'
We all of a sudden not suppose to not care, all the great philosophers on here don't go as far as suggesting the whole concept of avid support for a football club could be exactly everything branded on fans who got the hump with Jazz Richards.
Spending thousands of pounds on a club (and a huge % of annual salary), logical, childish, irrational? Sticking up for players not wanting to get involved with the fans, what is that exactly??
I think this issue should be put to bed now, I hope Jazz has a change of heart. I leave the irrationality to the other posters all too quick to make ridiculous links to 'swim'away' being similar to 'ayatollah' in nature. (I must add nobody cares about swim away, let them have their fun) Total madness and god knows if Bluebird58 was serious or not. I bloody hope not![]()

after all he is from Swansea.
requests are simply setting him up to fail and for the life of me I can't see how that benefits anyone.
out of his own willingness rather than being bullied into do so.Mon Aug 08, 2016 8:44 am

Nobody is asking anyone 'not to care' all I'm asking is have some thought about your actions. It is plainly obvious that Jazz Richards may have some reservations about doing theafter all he is from Swansea.
Give the boy some space allow him to produce his best form which will be to the benefit of the team. At this point thoserequests are simply setting him up to fail and for the life of me I can't see how that benefits anyone.
I would rather him get to a point where he feels comfortable doing theout of his own willingness rather than being bullied into do so.
That will happen if we play fair with him and eventually that will benefit everyone and not just a few looking for this weeks scapegoat.

By the same token giving Jazz Richards time to settle is not difficult either

Without getting into the old rebrand thing again it is a perfectly reasonable argument to state we (Cardiff City) came out of the whole saga as winners because we did a job on VT due to the fact we got the £100m+ and still play in blue![]()
Taking a rational view (see above) is far more productive than using a confrontational blunt edged attitude. I can see no benefit in hounding Jazz Richards over theespecially if he is playing well on the pitch.
If getting players to do theis so important to the supporters why not ask players who are happy to do it rather than pressurising a player who has obvious reservations about doing it?
Given time I'm sure Jazz Richards will do thenot because he was bullied into doing it, but because he wants to do it due to developing an attachment to the club. In other words give the boy a break and stop acting like a playground bully
