They looked slightly vulnerable at the back when they switched to a back four and a team of better quality might have picked them off.

But they are two good wins at the end of the day

Anthony Pilkington is through on goal and rounds the goalkeeper.

To St Pauli’s credit, they get back to block his route to goal.

Eventually the attack is smothered.

St Pauli blow a good chance as the cross sails into Wilson’s arms with two men unmarked in the middle.

Then, immediately after, they give the ball away cheaply on the edge of their own box only for St Pauli to curl one over.

Joe Ralls makes the interception and drives at the defence.

He lets fly from a 30 yards but his shot is blocked.



Declan John works overtime to get into a crossing position.

He puts in a deep cross to Lex Immers at the back stick.

The midfielder calmly brings it down before smashing it beyond the onrushing goalkeeper.

Unfortunately for St Pauli, their Heerwagen in goal can’t get it under control and it trickles into the back of the net.

Unfortunatly that miss by zahore is why we need a striker . Cant fault his effort and link up play but he misses some sitters . Will take him a while to get up to championship standard .

Matt Kennedy does well to get to a dangerous area on the far side.

He feeds it into the box and eventually it’s directed towards Kenneth Zohore.

The keeper is stranded at his front post, all Zohore has to do is nod it in from around 2 yards out.

He does well to get higher than the defender but he hits the post, inexcusable miss really.

David Tutonda gives away the free-kick out wide giving St Pauli another chance to whip one in.

But it’s a miserable delivery and Zohore clears.
