Cardiff City looking to sign another Welsh player from Fulham

Cardiff City are looking like they may make a move to sign Fulham’s George Williams according to a report from HITC Sport.
New Cardiff City head coach Paul Trollope has been urged by owner Vincent Tan to add more Welsh talent to his squad, something Trollope is very happy to do after being a coach for the Wales national side for many years.
And after already signing one Welsh player from Fulham, with Jazz Richards completing a move yesterday, the Bluebirds are set to raid Craven Cottage for another. Williams, a 20-year-old winger, may not be familiar to Cardiff fans as he only made one appearance for the Cottagers last season after picking up a serious injury towards the end of the 2014/15 season, but he’s obviously caught Trollope’s eye. This may be from when they worked together this summer at Euro 2016, though Williams never made an appearance for Wales at that tournament.
And while Wiliams is highly regarded by the Fulham coaching staff, reports have suggested that he won’t be breaking into the first team this season. Like last season when he made 10 appearances for Gillingham, he could end up being loaned out again so may be persuaded to make a permanent move to Cardiff where he will be promised first team football.

Just wondering as everyone keeps saying we are playing wingbacks. We already have a lot of wingers.
Maybe we have a manager who can be flexible

5-3-2 wont always work so changing to a 4231 will accommodate wingers, im just glad we are in for a good young welsh talent, huws would have been the one i went for to be honest

He's a promising youngster who could well be worth giving a chance to.
Could work out well hopefully but another promising young Welsh player joined us for the second half of last season and that didn't really work out.
Bit worrying that Fulham seem to be becoming our feeder club!

Richards and williams have lost their way a bit at club level and this has showed in their club form.
for Wales - they are looked after, supported by management and the fans - and this shows in their Wales form.
I hope the
'City as One' works and we all get together, club, management and fans

Really hope we sign him. Whenever he has come on or played for Wales I have been very impressed. Very skilful and fast and we can then have a serious plan B if wingbacks fail.

Haven't seen him play any good?

How about OGS, he was pretty versatile. We'd play a new starting 11 every week and change formations 3 times during 1 game!

I could of swore I saw him play for Wales in a central role ( attacking midfield ) and he was on fire, think he then got injured and not seen much since. Stand free to be corrected as this was quite a while ago and I can't remember yesterday

Don't care a monkeys if he's Welsh. Is he any good?
As far as I'm concerned Cardiff is Cardiff. Wales is Wales.

Great news-I have been saying they should go for him rather than JW. He is young, has real potential and is harder to puah off the ball. I thought he would have got a xhance in France, but the fact he disnt may help keep the price down.Hope.it comes off!

We've got some kind of geographical genius here ladies and gentlemen.
Cardiff is in Wales. People from Cardiff are welsh. We can identify and affiliate with local or welsh players but of course they have to be at the right standard and there's lots of talent in the Welsh squad that we can take advantage of. Trollope knows these players and every manager will bring in a few faces he's worked with before.
I for one love seeing welsh players doing well at Cardiff and so do many other fans.
