no to renewing

Fri May 13, 2016 12:12 pm

i was talking to some friend who stopped going after watching Slades brand of football and his decison making... they were getting quite excited about Slade being up and out of the way...and the statement that failure to reach the play offs is not good enough... then with the rumours of Rowberry or Trollope getting the job...this has dampened their spirits and they believe this regime will not change their habit of brining in people untried at this level

They have an opportunity of brining the crowd back in numbers with right appoinment...but it seems they don t learn

i will renew but i know a lot who wont if another untried or last season s regime get it.

Re: no to renewing

There loss

They probably said they would return if we got blue back
And when we did found something else to keep them away

The right appointment needs to be made big name or not. Success will bring the fans back more than a name.

Not real fans then we're they

Re: no to renewing

That's the modern football fans way of thinking these days to suit the shitty modern game. Up to them but proper fans go :tandragon: no matter who the manager is or who's on the field. The excuses I've seen on here as to why people will not renew over the last few months have been nothing but cringeworthy tbh. The same fans I bet bought the prem season ticket without the excuses stats don't lie

Re: no to renewing

Fri May 13, 2016 12:44 pm

I don't see why people need to make up any excuses, if they don't want a season ticket and don't enjoy it enough for the price they would have to pay then why should they. People seem to think its some kind of obligation to buy a season ticket.

Steve, you know these so-called "fans" too well, fella! ;) :laughing6:

Re: no to renewing

It's their own choice, I expect a lot on here ' pump their gums ' but not season ticket holders.

Re: no to renewing

Fri May 13, 2016 2:44 pm

People are saying it doesnt matter who the manager is etc Anyone who wants a known name and have said they wouldnt buy a season ticket if they didnt get an experienced known name are now not classes as Cardiff City fans WHEN are all you people going to realise that you HAVE to have the numbers to progress Never mind if you like it or not those so called fair weather fans or plastics or whatever are NEEDED

My opinion not renwing over a manager is pathetic, but through many many reasons thousands have not renewed the last two years and our away support has become worse than awful 22nd out of 24 teams and the year before was not that good either.
This season we had to continually give FREE tickets to fans and cheap tickets. I know a meeting has been called with fans groups extra to discuss it again as the club is more than worried

I have to agree. If fans had stopped going due to the manager in the 70s and 80s even the 90s we would have had crowds of 200   I have to be honest i do hope the next manager wants to play attacking and decent football unlike Malky and Slade

Re: no to renewing

Fri May 13, 2016 7:03 pm

I agree, but you and I know that there was a reason why sometimes thousands more young[ish] men in South Wales went to watch games back in the day. It was certainly nothing to do with the standard of football on the pitch.

You'll never please the masses, I discovered this when I got a work promotion and rectified everything the previous foreman didn't do I supplied lads with kits uniforms, set them up on every job, they soon found shite to complain about.
I'm now setting up on my own and recommended someone more ruthless than myself to fill my void and they now complaining bout that ha he who laughs last.
Unfortunately some people only happy being unhappy.

Annis I live off island and struggle to pay rent and cost of living but anytime I'm home I go for me it doesn't matter who's manager/owner Cardiff City is my club and its in my blood, I've always made a point of buying as much merchandise as money allows as that's my little way of supporting the club ( every little helps )
I can never live upto people like yourself with the yrs of loyal season tickets but I just don't understand how people can walk away from their club. If you want a manager or owner gone you get rid through your support on the stands, not by walking away.

Yes but if they pick the right guy and we push for auto's no doubt the crowds will come back. I'm just thankful for the faithful who stick by this club no matter what ( putting their hard earned cash in season after season )
Because without the faithful financially we'd fall apart
