still another 8 seats to be declared so could go up definitely a fresh new voice to ruffle some feathers 13 % of the overall votes which is good seeing as 8 years ago they didn't existBluebird since 1948 wrote:Five seats in the Senedd for the first time. Umm?? Did I miss something, Plaid 11, UKIP 6, Labour 29, Tories 9. That number hardly going to make a difference for a party who declared during the campaign that Wales doesn't exist! Sure our electoral system gave UKIP seats and as a Welshman I feel embarrassed about that.
Don't be bitter times are changing people have had enough clearly and the party will only get stronger imo Fri May 06, 2016 9:05 am

The most amusing thing is that you actually think ex tories are going to look after Wales, UKIP don't represent the working class man anymore than David Cameron does.

I know a few Kippers who are quite disappointed with just seven, so that makes me happy. Depending on how they treat the Senedd, they can actually play a constructive role- so well done to them
Personally I'm cuffed with the results as the context of Western politics is a massive rise of the right (even far right).
Yet in Wales, the left has a decent two-thirds majority. This will be important and proves Wales is still a fundamentally left wing country.

If you are of the extreme right then UKIP is your party but no way are UKIP a working class party.
People like Neil Hamilton have nothing in common with the working class.
Like the Lib Dems you only see their true colours when they get into power.

I am a Labour Party member but admit they are not perfect.
However, they are much better than anything else out there.
And to address your post I find the anti-Semitism spouted by Ken Livingston completely revolting and he should be kicked out on his arse and that goes for anyone else with those views.

To think some parts of Wales have only voted for Labour representation in over 100 years and they still live in some of the most deprived and desperate areas of the country.
