Ched Evans

Tue Mar 22, 2016 8:51 am

So guys here is a question for you all.. If Ched Evans is proven innocent which after following the case I FIRMLY believe he will be then would you take him for the rest of the season.. I understand he may not be fit enough but what a player he could be for the last 6 games or dare I say the playoffs  what do we all think??? Good Luck Ched

Re: Ched Evans

He served his time and should of be playing football players regardless if he is aquited of rape or not. It's not a very 'Christ like' attitude is it by campaigners like Jessica Ennis etc

Re: Ched Evans

Tue Mar 22, 2016 9:26 am

If he is guilty he should never be allowed to play football again, let him get a job sweeping the streets, plenty of jobs out there that don't require him to be anywhere near women. If he is innocent then by all means let him play football again, but I personally would not want him at cardiff, as innocent or guilty what he did was deplorable and just shows what a slimey man he is

Hand on heart honest answer please
Would you have the same attitude towards someone that raped your daughter
And I am not saying whether he is guilty or not

That is impossible for me to say, however I do believe in second chances etc. Going by what we know of this specific case, he does deserve a second chance is my opinion.

I have 2 daughters, I want them to understand what's right and wrong. Going to hotels with strangers falls into the 'wrong' and dangerous category. Getting completely wasted is also something I do not wish my daughter's being involved in.

From what I've read he should never have been found guilty, eating a bird out after your mates done the nasty with her is a bit sordid though.

I've been involved in the music scene and it happens their as well.. its just unfortunately the society we live in now but the question was WOULD YOU HAVE HIM AT CCS?

Re: Ched Evans

why the heck not. he wil be out to prove a massive point and word is he has ambitions of getting into the Euro party.. he will have the bit between his teeth with a lot to prove,, very good striker when on form and a risk worth taking for free surely???

Re: Ched Evans

Tue Mar 22, 2016 12:37 pm

On a purely football side, he hasn't played for years, he'll be no where near match fit and, personally, I don't think he's good enough

Re: Ched Evans

Tue Mar 22, 2016 12:56 pm

I agree with him being match fit and that's why I said with a view to the last few games of the season and potentially play offs.. always scores goals at these levels..

Re: Ched Evans

Tue Mar 22, 2016 1:25 pm

No way!no clubs gone near him for the simple reason he's a convicted rapist(pending his appeal)& they don't want the negative media backlash they would get from the press & the public so no me personally I wouldn't want him anywhere near the club :bluebird: :ayatollah:

Frankly that is an absolute disgusting attitude and thank goodness the law was changed to protect vulnerable women from sexual predators like Ched Evans and the kind of people you claim to associate with.

A woman is not consenting to sex simply because she is drunk and has been herded into a hotel room. Anyone with the attitude should be on the sexual offenders register so they can be properly monitored.

The law states that anyone engaging in sexual activity has to give the consent and have capacity to give that consent. The 'excuse' that 'a woman' was up for it due to being drunk is no longer a defence and anyone taking advantage of a drunken woman in such a way is quite rightly is deemed to have committed rape.

If after the event the lady in question discovered the identity of her molester then why shouldn't she seek justice against that pervert?

It is time for men to change their attitudes towards women and treat them with proper respect and not simply as sexually vulnerable to be taken advantage of at will.

The woman wasn't "herded" into a hotel room though was she. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the woman willingly went back to the hotel room and even remembered to go back to collect her handbag and pizza box she left behind according to the evidence. The woman knew full well what she was doing. Apparently, this woman tried doing it to a rugby player as well. Then there was her tweets about "winning big".

A jury in a court of law found that she was herded into a hotel room and DID-NOT give consent to sex. The pizza box/handbag is not 'proof' she was giving consent to sex. While your slamming this woman why not have a look at Ched Evans behaviour? He had sex with another woman even though he is supposedly in a long term relationship. He also left the hotel room via the fire escape which odd for someone who is 'innocent'

There are many references in this thread to the 'woman knew why she was there' doesn't that also apply to Evans? Sorry but he's got guilty written all over him.

He hasn't played pro football for years, he's going to be shite. Is this thread for real? :digging2:

I wish him all the best but he's a convicted sex offender whether or not you think he's innocent or not, if he is innocent then lets hope he clears his name. Regardless if he wins his appeal he's done at this level of football, he was a league one player when this all happened why the f**k do people think he can do a job for us in the Championship when he's not kicked a ball for years.

Re: Ched Evans

Innocent or guilty he should now be allowed to play football. He's served his time that the courts saw fit to sentence him to. That's his punishment finished now, other sex offenders will return to they old job without any problems. It may not be perfect but that's how our justice system works. If he's a danger then he wouldn't have been let out. He was convicted of a terrible terrible thing but he now a free citizen like the rest of us let him get on with his life the way he chooses.

I will be surprised if he ever plays anything other than semi-pro again. But what I am saying is this stinks, I hope the guy clears his name, and rightly so, there is new evidence coming out (what I don't know btw)
