" CCFC ALWAYS A BUT "

Why is it always a but with ccfc

Just been down to renew my season ticket and my grandson
I was expecting to pay the new prices
£299 for me being an oap (same price as last season by the way )
And the new price for William who is nine yrs old and held his season ticket for the past 5 seasons of £49

Oh no they say
You can only have a £49 child ticket if your a FULL PAYING ADULT

Now I always thought an oap had to be an adult !
And the FULL price for an oap is £299
Does that not make me a full paying adult (not as far as ccfc goes)

So they say if you pay £369 instead of £299 you can have Williams for £ 49 otherwise if you pay £299 (my entitlement price )you have to pay £149 for Williams

Now IMO we seniors are being discriminated

I know of another senior who renewed today for himself and his grandchild (again existing season ticket holders ) who also was given the same options

Let me make it clear I applaud the club for the new pricing structure
But as usual they have not thought it through 100%
I really do feel that us seniors long term season ticket holders have been left out as our price has not reduced and we can't benifit from the other offers

That's a joke. a concession for a Senior citizen shouldn't then be made up by making them pay more in other areas that defeats the whole point of a concession.

Re: Ccfc always a but !

Tue Mar 01, 2016 10:44 am

you should bring this up with someone, its just a technicality at the end of the day, it should be the same price.

Steve, That's out of order and this is where our club still let themselves down.

Re: " CCFC ALWAYS A BUT "

Tue Mar 01, 2016 10:49 am

I'm sure there will be quite a few seniors who take Thier grand kids rather angry when they find out they are not full paying adults and have the same options I was given

Re: " CCFC ALWAYS A BUT "

You can see what they are doing. OAP gets a discount and a child gets a discount with a full paying adult.

That's two discounts that cannot be used together. It's the same in shops when you have a couple of discount codes but you cannot use them both.

THAT SAID, I still think this is wrong and am pretty sure the club will change it when it is mentioned to the right people.

Sorry nubbsy you slightly missing the point the area in the ground has nothing to do with my disappointment it's not being able to buy my grandson ticket at the reduced price becouse the club do not recognise seniors as FULL PAYING ADULTS

I just paid £299 for me and £49 for my son, total £348. Because I sit in the family stand :bluebird:

Youre not a full paying adult though your an OAP :old:

You will still be £30 better off if you pay as a full paying adult and your grandson for £49

Even though we like to wind each other up I do have some sympathy for the old codger on this occasion.

Youd think that was only a rule in place to stop under 16's buying the tickets on their own, although it wouldnt harm the club if the sold them for less than £149 anyway to try and encourage more teenagers.

No I got it. By 'area' I ment other areas of ticket sales not other areas in the ground.

So you have the option to sit in the family stand with your grandson for £298 but CHOOSE to pay £418 to sit in another area?!?

How is that the clubs fault?

Hang on polo
We have had these seats since the stadium opened
Originally I bought the two seats and took a mate or family as a guest
Then when I started taking William I obviously changed one to a junior (under 16 in ninnian stand )
William has been season ticket holder in his own right for 5 seasons
I'm not complaining about the different stand price structures
In other threads I suggested that the £299 price for cat 3 rear of ninnian was very fair and reasonable for seniors
What I don't like is not being treated fairly as a senior
Look at the clubs pricing structure for my circumstances
As I have bought mine and my grandsons for the last 5 years
My own season ticket for over 20 continuess years
Why should our two tickets (£299 and£149 =£448 in total ) cost more than a first time season ticket holder (£369and £49 =££418
Now where does loyalty come in ,in my situation

I just feel the club have not looked after ( a small minority I'm sure ) in a way they should ,is us seniors

I do understand your point it shouldnt be £30 dearer for an old age pensioner plus a child than it is an adult plus a child but you do have the option of sitting in the familiy stand for a lot cheaper.

On the flip side should you be getting age pensioners discount when you work full time?

One thing I have to say is that as a concession over 60, that is the full price as far as anyone is concerned and I am a full paying oap :laughing6: so how can they say that I am not. Please get in touch with Mona, the ticket office manager, if no joy get in touch with Ken Choo

Because and Adult is paying £299 in the family stand where as you would be gettign a concession and only paying £149

Adult & Kid in family stand = £348
OAP & Kid in family stand = £298

You also have the option of zone 4 for £229 + £89 = £318

I think the problem is youre expecting family stand prices but you want to sit in a more expensive part of the ground ie: Ninian Stand upper so you have to pay more.

I do agree that where you currently sit Senior + Kid should not be £30 more expensive than Adult & Kid. At very least it should be same price. However the club have price matched that deal by letting you buy as an adult instead of an old aged pensioner.

Theres going to be cut-offs and some people feeling hard done by. I used to sit in two seats in from the aisle in the Canton but for some reason it was classed as the corner and I paid £80 a season more than someone sitting 3 seats away from me and across the aisle. Shit happens.

My ticket was £199 last year (U21) my birthday is in may so I would have paid £99 this year but as they go on your age in August they want £299 instead of £99 so I'm not renewing...

You're an adult now, so what did you expect? :?

I guess it depends how you look at it (glass half full or half empty0 but in reality you're only paying £100 more (£4.34 per game extra and finance available) and yet you are 'legging' it?
