Carl I bet these idiots haven't traveled far in their lives.

Re: ' REST OF COUNTRY GIVING CARDIFF FANS STICK TONIGHT '

Carl on away days over 200 fans from different clubs have slaughtered our away support tonight and said how awful, pitiful, shit , abysmal embarrassing it is .

I bet half of them don't even turn up at matches themselves, at least we were there and 99% of them have prob never been to Cardiff.

Don't care about what other clubs fans say. Our away support was one of the best in the lower leagues, it's now a shadow of it's former self. I can't complain though, I only go away 3-4 times a season and have done for years no amount of piss taking on social media by fans of shit clubs like Barnsley will convince me to go on more.

I bet a lot of these fans' clubs had away games tonight or on the weekend and didn't bother to turn up.

Easy to have a go at our fans from the warm of their own houses.

If no one went to make a point about ticket prices do you not think it might get message accross. Twenty is plenty and all that.

I went, and I'm glad I did. It was a long day, and we lost, but that's football. It's easy for keyboard warriors to have a dig. I wonder how many of them actually go to games, home or away? There are reasons why our support is what it is, but that's another story. People who go to games understand these things. The Borough fans even applauded us at the end, in particular for joining in the applause for Alastair Brownlee. RIP. Off to bed now!

Utmost respect to the 150 or whatever it was that travelled a ridiculous fixture to have on a Tues night but fair play to you all, true city fans.

Probably the longest away day in the championship these days, most clubs have several local rivals that helps build a bigger away support. Our only truly local one is Brizzle and they make it so much hassle it's not worth it.

'Diehards' is a much abused term but surely those 150 who travelled to Boro' are the diehards of the diehards? :bluescarf:

I'm curious to know why the rest of the UK would be interested in how many fans travelled ?

Boro fans had put the photo on FB away days and now nearly 2,000 fans from all over the UK have looked or commented on it.

Some have praised us, but many are shocked by how our away support has fallen away and of course the arseholes are commenting on it

£64 for ticket and travel
Day off work (in today and knackered!)
Got home at 4am
10 hours in a coach so uncomfortable my arse is now a different shape to what it was yesterday morning.
3-1 defeat.

Had a great day!!

I must have had the seat the schoolkids wrecked as I seemed to be sitting on the floor for most of the journey!

The coach trip home was pretty uncomfortable ,but would have been different if we had won ,these long night trips most definitely are better when we have 3 points traveling back home with us

First of all, credit to those that traveled :bluescarf:

My opinion on it for what its worth is that the criticism of our away support is part justified, part harsh but just goes to show how decimated our support has become as a whole.

We must have fans living all over the country and there was a time when anyone north of Birmingham would have seen a trip to Boro as doable for an away day with the City.

I would have thought that there would be at least 50-100 Cardiff/Welsh fans living up North who would have gone alone, just like when we only took a couple of hundred to Ipswich, there would have been a time when a few hundred would have gone just by fans who live in London and the South East alone.

Another thing is the fun element and the cost obviously

And finally the fall of the RAMS, whether you liked them or not they would have had a couple of coaches going up there last night minimum, people enjoyed the whole RAMS thing and they used to swell our away followings massively.

Loved the rams, never been the same since in my opinion. The most enjoyable away days Ive had was travelling as a member of the valley rams.

that is the obvious reason numbers have dwindled - it is no coincidence since they disbanded numbers all over the UK have suffered - bring them back I say, good days the bits I can remember :laughing6:

Yea we would leave with a full coach on the way up would always be half empty coming home. Lol. Brilliant days.

And killed the fun at the same time. And the powers that be wonder where all the fans have gone. You can't have it all ways. Simple really they have killed the enjoyment factor of travelling to see your team in my opinion. And anyway in my opinion us cardiff fans were always better behaved if left to our own devices it was when they started imposing sanctions on us that trouble ever started. Fact.

So don't travel because you can't slap someone?

What's wrong in still going and getting merry and enjoying the game without looking to slap someone?

Families attend now whereas they were concerned for their safety.

I was joking about the hooligan bit as that hasn't anything to do with attendances as it's all down to cost these days. I only venture as far as London and Cardiff but wouldn't venture any thither north of London as refuse to pay the costs plus I'm still banned because I refuse to sign any papers that the club are asking me too.
