First half he gave the ball away under no pressure with a sloppy pass to the opposition then dived in to win it back and the crowd cheered almost as loudly as a goal. WtF?!?!? IF HE DIDNT GIVE THE BALL AWAY THERE WAS NO TACKLE TO BE MADE.

Sloppy wasn't even the word.

With Whitts and Lawrence in front of them we do need defend first defenders.

Things looked a lot more secure when peltier came on

The thing is with Fabio surely a man who played for Manchester United when they were a world class side would be picked up by a better side than us. Personally I think scouts from other clubs are much better than ours and saw he's not a Premier League player.

I do think Fabio can struggle against quality wingers but what a lot of people forget is the way he wins the ball back from the opposition by "aggressive defending" ! By that I mean he will make tackles in the attacking half rather than just closing down. Yesterday he did it 3 times in the time he was on the pitch and it really provided huge momentum for the team.

It's a quality nobody else in the squad has. We are lucky to have 3 good fullbacks, the best balance is Fabio + Malone or Peltier in my opinion but it's a good position to be in

Think he picked up the injury that's why he didn't get out to close the cross down quicker- commentator on Sky said he was struggling just before the cross came in.

City fans love Fabio because he will work his balls off and he's got fight. So what's he looses the ball sometimes, not like superkev was a dribble master. End of the day he's a championship player for a reason but players will always get respect here for giving 100% it doesn't make anyone thick.

He showed great pace, energy and verve to support Lawrence and helped him terrorise Calderon at left back. I sit in the Ninian stand and it was obvious that Fabio had hurt himself prior to the cross from which Brighton scored.

Their left winger actually had more success against Peltier.

Fabio at fault for Boro's second. What sort of pathetic header was that? I love Fabio's commitment, he's whole hearted, spirited, enthusiastic, runs his guts out, but he lacks the two things a good full back needs.

He can't defend very well and he has no end product. I know he scored a screamer tonight, but until tonight, when did you see Fabio put a dangerous ball into the box? He continuously takes wrong options in the final third and squanders possession.

Fabio is loved for the same reasons we loved McNaughton, the difference being although neither Fabio or McNaughton had any end product, McNaughton could actually defend reasonably well.
