David, I believe he won't stay even if asked, the pressure has been to much for him.
He would also do a good job for clubs like Rotherham and he's actually done a better job than I ever thought he would for us![]()

Do you honestly believe Slade and his football would last 5 minutes there .
Massive difference between 4 4 2 and implementing changes , playing right players , tactics etc . Slade hasn't got it

We used to get beaten second half as teams changed their system to beat his 4 4 2 and worked most times

problem is, at least as far as i can see, because we have snobbish fans such as yourself you couldnt possibly see a manager as slade as good enough for your great club, he gets no credit for anything positive and a heap of criticism when largely undeserved.
He's not the finished article tactically of course, 442 isnt the way i would have gone but he has and its largely working. recently been tweaked slightly to have one playing a deeper role that seems to have been ok so far, but the games against Sheffield Wednesday, Burnely and especially Brentford (even though we won) have a multitude of different factors than always referring to type and blaming Slade.
For a start Sheffield Wednesday were excellent and well deserving of the point here, while the 93rd minute own goal against burnley was desperately unlucky. These are the points that people would have been talking about if Malky was still manager.
And as proven in the premier league at the moment, 442 is having relative sucess proving there is far more to this game than where on the pitch you stand before kick off
* also to add on your point on the MK dons match. They scored in the 90th minute after making a sub in the 89th and (correct me if im wrong) but the player who came on wasnt involved in the goal at all. More to the point it was a like-for-like substitue

He won't struggle to get a club in the championship now.
Clubs will look at where we are in the table and the funds he's had to succeed.

what about any game this season where we have scored within the first 5 minutes of the second half, or within a few minutes of making a substitute...
snobbish because of the general feeling that a manager like slade couldnt possibly do a job for a club like ours. No body really wanted him to get the job when he was being linked, but some people were able to judge him fairly during his time here and some people lay all the blame for any match we have never won at his door.
An example from last season, and from the other board that must not be named (although not referring to you i hope you will see what i mean) when we went to Brentford and got a fantastic away win against a high flying side, the first thing i read after the match was a thread "did Slade get it wrong" referring to his team selection for the match
that's the general sort of behaviour im talking about, that we wouldn't have had here if Pulis was in charge.

Take what you've said on board .
Would you renew his contract based on team performances since he`s been in charge ?
Would you give him (hypothetical at moment ) a £5m jackpot to spend on players ?

I would be more inclined to give him a contract if we DONT go up personally. His signings have been disappointing generally, the doyle one most of all because he spend a bit of money on him. but then on the flip side he brought in malone and peltier who have been two good signings, signings we needed as well as full back was a weak area for us.

Would I give him funds at Cardiff do you mean? No, I'd employ an experienced championship manager with a record of getting clubs promoted. Like I've said all year, keep him till the end of the season and move forward with a new manager.
I believe we're still in a very precarious position considering the way our club is run.
What I'm saying is that there's plenty of smaller clubs with smaller funds in the championship who would now be happy be happy to employ slade, in my opinion.
