In his interview today Slade stated that things will come clearer and in his conversation with Tan he stated that he was committed to the Club.

He also stated that he's got a few plates spinning in the transfer market and hopefully things will be moving soon, he seemed full of the joys of spring and very positive to the media.

A few hours later the news broke we're under a transfer embargo for the rest of this window, this to me proves Slade knows nothing of what is going on from above and has been made to look a bit foolish in front of the media.

If you read the statement it says it doesn't agree with the decision as the club believe they were within the limits. Hence why they are looking to appeal.

They were also confident that they would find evidence of financial irregularities from the Sam years and the promotion season and the Premier season and after all this time and Christ knows how much in investigation costs which has probably been added to the debt that confidence seems to have been misplaced somewhat.

This is confusing. Slade was brought in to cut the wage bill. People say he has done it. So should be credited with that.

If that is the case. How did he not know we were going to be under a transfer embargo?
He must be close to the decisions of finance if he cut the wage bill? Surely?

Unless of course he does not have a clue about the clubs finances/wage structure etc (like the majority of managers).
So therefore he had no direct involvement in cutting the wage bill, but was just a nodding dog to whatever/whoever Tan cut from the playing staff.

That's how I read it...and it appears that Vincent Tan may well have been 'propping up' the club for some time behind the scenes by inputting money in an effort to ensure we didn't fall foul of FFP Rules

Let's see what comes of the next few days and any appeal before jumping on any bandwagons, as the important thing we need to ensure t the end of all this is that we still have a club to support!

Slade can be blamed for what happens on the pitch, but this sort of thing goes much higher. Those running the club should be fully aware of the financial situation, and if they are not, then they should'nt be running a football club.
