They can't afford him.

Although if they can I wouldn;t be that bothered, we have other players who can take his position and there's others I'd rather keep hold of.

Give them Noone instead, Pilkington is everything Noone should aspire to be

Spending the Rhodes money ?
Happy as Larry if he goes, stopping us getting real pace into the team.

Yes they've asked if City want to sell or loan him out

Pilkington does have pace though? Not as one dimensional as Noone either, tricky and skilfull. Yesterday he even done a great defensive job

A wannabe central midfielder ?
Can you not see the Whitts parallels ?
Not a Nooney fan, but Pilkington is lower down my list

Was Pilkington with Lambert at Norwich ?

Think Pilkington would be best suited in a CF role, since he's persistent and wins the ball in those areas, plus he has a decent shot. Honestly you know what you get every time with Noone, you know what he's going to do, scouts and opposition full-backs must have a field day when trying to analyse him

Quality player hope he doesn't go
Sun Jan 03, 2016 2:51 pm
Didn't understand why Slade didn't put pilks into the Mason role and Ralls out on the left
Sun Jan 03, 2016 2:53 pm
Hope he doesn't go.
One of our best players and chips in with a few goals.

They're taking the piss surely if they think we want to loan him out

We need Kennedy playing. Pilkington and Noone going is he only way to get him on the field
I am firmly in the missed play off camp, unless we get at least 4 points from the next 2 games. We'll know in 2 weeks, so I would plan for life without the big names.

Id be worried if he went.
He's one of the constant 1 st choice and if he went it would only be down to cost cutting, not football reasons and would weaken our squad
Sun Jan 03, 2016 3:39 pm
Depends what the club are trying to achieve.
Can't see any benefit in letting him go
Sun Jan 03, 2016 3:45 pm
He can't go. He's a brilliant player!

You'd think that was the case and they would have a field day analysing Nooney but for some reason defenders always struggle to cope with him cutting back on to his lelft foot, it's his final ball that let's him down the majority of time, yesterday being 1 if those days. Noone has been one of our only threats of late I'd have in the team before pilks on current form.

Knowing what he is going to do is one thing, stopping it is another.

Yes he was.
I like pilkington don't think he's as good on wing as noone but still feel he can offer a lot in cm or just behind striker

Too many square pegs in round holes. Sell whoever we can get market value for..
We have a winger who is not a winger
A winger who can't cross.
Two 5'10" target men one of which is perhaps the slowest and weakest in professional football.
A converted CM from a wide midfielder who can't fit into a 442.
A DM who is unfitter than me and doesn't fit a 442
Two wing backs who don't fit a flat back 4.

Good option to change it up a bit
Sun Jan 03, 2016 7:10 pm
Shouldn't be letting him go IMO, think he would be a good number 10. Need an attack minded full back behind him to have any width on whatever side he plays
Sun Jan 03, 2016 7:50 pm
I'll drive him up there!
Winger with no pace or tricks... one of the reasons we don't provide service to the front men and slow everything own. He does chip in with the odd goal, but will he be missed..........
Sun Jan 03, 2016 7:57 pm
Isn't strange how we all see things so differently!
For me he's another in a long list of supposed wide players who can't beat a man and who's crossing leaves a lot to be desired.
Just can't see what he offers to the team either going forward or defensively. Often tries to play a "Hollywood" type of pass rather than keeping it simple and has missed a number of straight forward headed chances over the last few games.
Having said all that we do seem to be weaker when he's not in the team so maybe he's got something that I'm just not seeing (wouldn't be the first time

)
I would not be too unhappy to see him leave to be honest.
