' CITY PLAYER STORMS OUT/ANOTHER TOLD TO GO '
Gabriel Tamas stormed out after being excluded from today's game and did not turn up at the stadium this afternoon.
Tamas is unhappy at not being given the chance to show his worth at City and has been seeking answers from Slade but nothing has been forthcoming.
Russell Slade has called a meeting for next week to take place between the pair to discuss the situation.
Tamas has gone to his home in France, it remains unclear if Tamas has agreed to attend next weeks meeting but I would be surprised if he didn't.
Kenwyne Jones was told one month ago that he is free to leave City and find a new club in January.
Jones has been offered less than half his current wage to stay at City but the talks broke down.
Kenwyne did not turn up at the stadium today either.

No doubt he should have been on the bench ahead of O'Keefe. Another ridiculous bench..

Tamas - very strange signing

Agreed, a total waste of a wage.

Shows Slade's sh*t man management and the kind of egotistical tw@ts that are on our payroll
Build a team from hungry home grown youngsters and a few experienced pros. Fed up of modern football mercenaries.

He's an ex international footballer with plenty of caps, he has every right to be livid at not getting a chance to play. Was he signed under false pretences ?

I agree - no way he would of signed for us without some sort of guarantee of game time. He won't be on particularly big wages, so suspect he came to play rather than warm the bench.

Shocking treatment.
Challenging rest of season ahead for him.

I was thinking of Slades shi*t management of Tamas & Jones as the mercenary

Don't get why everyone up is in arms about this?
He was a free agent, without a club who we signed as emergency back up in defence.
His main position as I recall is centre back so would you put him in ahead of Manga and Connonly?
There is an argument why he isn't on the bench as he can also play full back but then Fabio is already there and he can cover both full back positions and wide midfield so is arguably a better player to have on the bench - especially at home. Peltier can
It was a bit of a strange signing for sure given the strength in depth we have in defence but as I say he was without a club and in the autumn of his career so wouldn't have cost the earth and adds excellent back-up and experience.
The player takes a gamble signing for us in that he's reliant on an injury crisis to likely get a run in the team. But if he wanted first team football he could have got that at a lower level for less money i'm sure.
Not putting a fringe player, signed as a free agent and as emergency back up is certainly not anything to get as worked up about the way I see it.

Agree 100%. Just shows the lack of faith in our youth. There never guna get a chance I fear.

Manga and turner injured before we started season. Tamas brought in as back up to connolly and morrison. Simple.
Anything to have a go at slade signings. Revell isn't great but who do u expect to have to back up for Kenwyne on a small wage and would be happy on the bench? I won't find many.
Pelts - free transfer
Malone -100k
The likes of blaise, Kennedy and ajayi are young boys so will get a chance.
My only disappointment is okeefe as I expect something from him. I think it will come.

Norms, a bit like 95% of Slades other signings.
Only 1 out of Slades 15 signings starts most games.

Jones is a disgrace and delusional if he thinks he earns the amount of money hes on. good riddance

Exactly 37 grand a week ridiculous. That's the problem with any player has been in the PL. Forget signing any of these. Even on half wages very few would try. They have been spoilt.

He probably gets that in UAE or China. Not such a big name i the states but it would suit his international commitments.

Annis, it was Malone, Peltier and Watt today.
These 3 are good signings.
Considering that we've still got 12-14 high earners on the books, from Ole and Malky's days then it's not surprising they make up most of the first XI

Spot on about the Tamas signing, given John and Fabio were also injured around the same time it's clear to see why he was brought in to anyone who has an open mind and isn't just obsessed with slating Slade over everything.
As for Tamas being treated badly, what a load of rubbish.
He won't get in before any of today's squad and if he doesn't like it he can leave and we can bring in someone else.

Tim, Yes your right 3 started today, Sorry I wasn't including Watt in Slades in 15,that makes 16 signings.
But Malone is in and out,so 2 out of 16 signings virtually start every game, do you think that is good?
Sat Jan 02, 2016 9:26 pm
Tamas was brought in as cover but the way he has gone about it is unprofessional even though I can understand how frustrating he is and Jones should've went when we got relegated but those wages stamped him here.

He is not better than what we have for centre backs for me.

Not even better as cover on the bench over 3 central midfielders? We had one defender on there..

Who is he going to buy who's better than Marshall, Ralls, Manga, Connolly, Gunnersson, No one , Pilkinton etc ... for f**k all ?

Sure 2 defenders on the bench is not the best option is it?
Sun Jan 03, 2016 2:14 am
Who cares about Tamas? He was signed as cover when we were short and if we have any sense we'll give him a free transfer after this outburst.
I'd always rather have minimal defenders on the bench as Connolly, Fabio, Gunnarson Peltier and Ralls are all capable of playing in the back four in one or more positions so we had plenty of cover there, always better to have more attacking options.
Sun Jan 03, 2016 11:34 am
talking of players storming out, is it just as bad for a player to piss off half time in his new black porsche 4x4 from packing spot p6 instead of supporting his team mates ??? was it declan john ?????

I was surprised we had O'Keefe, Whittingham and Dikgacoi on the bench as all three play the same position. Although I'd have preferred Kennedy to Tamas on the Bench at the expense of one of those three.
Sun Jan 03, 2016 12:08 pm
I'm mystified by Kennedy's case. Presumably Slade wanted him, yet he's had no chance at all. I'd much prefer him coming off the bench than Ameobi, who gets less and less effective.

This "togetherness" and "team spirit" seems to be something of a myth.
