Our final ball was what let us down tonight.
Back to Slades boring football tonight against a team that for me were very just as bad.
Birmingham City 1 Cardiff City 0
Crowd 14,414
Away 655 City fans
Marshall; Peltier, Connolly, Morrison, Malone; Pilkington, Gunnarsson, Ralls, Ameobi; Watt, Jones
Subs: Moore, Manga, Fabio, Whittingham, O'Keefe, Noone, Mason
Cardiff went in to this game on the back of a 3-2 win v Brentford in midweek and undefeated in their last 4 games, whilst Birmingham have not won for 5 games and their home record recently has been awful, plus Brum have won only 1 of the last 9 games and have failed to score in 6 , could this be another 3pts for the Bluebirds?
With in 10 mins Morrison was taken off after a crunch tackle and replaced by Manga.
Both teams were even stevens for the first 25mins.
City started to take control and then Brum broke away and Marshalll saved to only drop the ball and Connolly supposedly handballed for Brum to score from a penalty in the 45th min![]()
Half-time Brum 1 City 0
5 mins in Marshall pulled of a great save![]()
City made quite a few chances, but our finishing was awful at times.
Slade did a double subs Pilkinghton and Gunnarson on for Whittingham and Noone.
City did go forward and create a couple of good chances, but so did Birmingham.
FULL-TIME BRUM 1 CCFC 0
In my opinion not a good performance by Cardiff tonight.
My man of the match Malone![]()

It is relevant as BRUM have been worse than awful at home and we lost to them, we just did not do enough

Annis,
Birmingham were shocking and we were little better!
What are they doing at training week in week out, we looked tired and KJ, well if he is on 35k a week then it's a disgrace.
Far to many prima donners in that side.
Mourinho just sacked for losing the dressing room, RS has never had it.
His school report, lacks enthusiasm, leadership and can never do better.
Safe trip

Need to get back to winning ways and play better at MK Dons on Boxing Day.
Ameobi is nowhere near good enough.
Tony Watt MOTM for me.

Ned, we could not see it properly but I had texts saying it was not a penalty , but we have to beat teams like Birmingham

But they would not have won if the ref hadn't given them a penalty which clearly wasn't. Also, on many occasions the ball didn't quite run for us. Not a great performance but we were the better team and with a bit of luck would have won the game.
