Some of the best attacking football I have seen from City this season in the first half,then the worrying yet again set in when Brentford made a double sub and they scored and guess what they scored again

City went in to this game in 7th position and the visitors Brentford in 10th. We were undefeated in our last 3 outings, but the fans had not seen a home win for over 5 weeks, so it was time to put the record straight


City players ran out to prob the lowest ever League crowd at the stadium, but what was good was the crowd that was there sang from the start

City did not disappoint attacked and with in 20 mins Watt scored a poachers goal 1-0

10mins later a great run by Watt and a one two with Kenwyne, 2-0 City Kenwyne Jones

We continued to play some of the best atracking football this season

I don't know why we're surprised really, just when the fans turn on him he always manages to do just enough to hang on to support.

Is it sustainable in the long term? I have my doubts.

Just a question - do you actually go to games?

Everyone coming out tonight was saying Slade has got to go. Yet another drop in performance in the second half and total reliance on 442 is so easily being picked apart by other teams week in, week out and the only guy who doesn't see it is Mr Slade.

We do, we can't keep surrending 2 goal leads as we nearly lost 2 points again, 30 second to go and thankfully we won this time.

We were lucky tonight and that last minute kenwynne goal just papers over the cracks for me. This second half collapse is becoming a bit of theme now and Slade still has not figured out how to defend a two goal lead. We were defending so deep we were practically inviting Brentford to score. We were yet again like rabbits caught in the headlights. I think the only thing that saved us was that Brentford ran out of puff which slowed the game down. If tonight's game had ended 2-2 everyone would be screaming for Slades head. He is a very very lucky man tonight as kenwynne has well and truely saved his sorry arse.

Slade just doesn't seem capable of closing out a game.

Our four best attacking players tonight were Noone, Watt, Jones and Pilkington and he decides to take three of them off

Teams don't give up in the Championship so you just have to keep pressing and looking a threat, you just cannot sit back and let them come at you.

Nobody in their right mind would believe that Mason is better than Ameobi at either chasing people down or causing the back four a problem (neither are great mind you!!) yet Slade puts Mason on for Watt

Two of his top players remaining on the pitch, Jones and Fabio, got him out of trouble tonight.

That's three home games in a row, he needs to start learning from his mistakes .......... quick !!

I'm no big Slade fan but the only thing that counts is the 3 points. Never expected Brentford to be a pushover, and I thought before the game started that we would either scrape past them by one goal, or more likely get a draw. I think exactly the same about the Birmingham game, a narrow win or a score draw but can't see us getting beaten by them.

Now is not the time to change the manager.

We need another strong midfielder who can come on to,replace either Ralls or Gunnarssonn for the last 20 minutes. They were clearly knackered by doing the work of 3 men between them. I believe it is the way we play which wears them out and this is when other teams take advantage.

Brentford were in the play offs last season so we all know they are a decent team.
