Brilliant away support just before Xmas :thumbright:

Mason, got to say fair play to them. No matter how they're doing or where they're playing, they always take large away followings.

Good away fans :thumbright:

Good support

I remember we played them just before Christmas in Ninian park and they brought a good crowd sung constantly merry Christmas brian laws for virtually 90 mins

I actually thought they would bring more.
They had asked for the 1800 allocation and are doing well.

In sure they have brought bigger followings previously when they've being struggling

They are a Big City Club with a big loyal following :bluebird:

A club just like Leeds who's support doubles between the championship and the premier league.ultimate plastics

We have more plastics, they average 20k a season, been relegated a long time and lingered middle to bottom half of the season and always take away decent support. Fair play to them

Tim, they will prob bring about 1,500 fans a couple of weeks before Xmas, thats triple what we took to Bolton, virtually the same distance, I thought it was excellent support :thumbright: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis.
I'm not comparing their support to ours.
Recently ours has been awful and if they do get up to 1500 that's pretty good.

Mind you comparing trips I'd far rather go to Sheffield than Bolton , with that bloody M6.

I just thought they would bring more based on the numbers they have brought in the past when they were crap.

Our support to Hillsborough was 934 last season and a lot more than that on previous occasions when we've been doing well.

Tim, so if they bring approx 1,500 to us, then what does that make our 934 last season? As its our last away game of the season, we should at least be taking 1,500 to them no matter where we are in the League :ayatollah:

Tim, We should be comparing our support, as like you say ours is awful lately, yet clubs are bringing much more to us,than us to them, yet our fans moan about the other clubs, you could not make that up.

Annis, we only took 1,500 to Burnley on the day we won the title, and like other people say on Facebook our fans will only return when we are winning games, well that season we won more games than anyone else but still struggled with our away support :o

Correct Carl, I was stunned that day at Burnley that it was even under 1,500 and we were allowed at least 2,500 fans, for our biggest game of the season.

We took more to burnely last game of season in 1988 in the dungeon when promoted than we did going up to the premier league, figure that one out......

Actually Annis, that 900 odd want bad considering the problems at the time.

Wednesday are having their best season for a while, they are a big club and half their away games are closer than our 2 nd closest away, so yes, it's a good turn out, but I thought they would sell out considering they brought similar or more when they were struggling.

As to what we take there it will depend if there's anything to play for.

We took 3000 to Burnley a season or so before, only to be told as we pulled up that QPR hadn't had points deducted and the game was a dead rubber.

It's not somewhere you rush back to in a hurry

I was at all 3 of these games

3 very memorable days

It's not a moan. I don't care if they bring 100 or 100000
I'm just saying I was expecting more, given their success this year and what they have taken elsewhere.

1988 game was a beaut of a day - pitch invasions, game stopped early - police right on everybody's case outside before game, forcing all to tip their beer down the drains etc ahhh good times :bluebird:

 I rem

But to only take less than 1,500 away to one our biggest games of all time is very poor.

Yeah it was, but for most the season was over after the Charlton game.
Still had a great day though
