A glamour tie to celebrate the first successful campaign in how long?.
All the people bitching and moaning about not being able to get tickets during the Euro's
Surely this should be a sell out?. Friday night under the lights, cheap tickets - What more do the FAW have to do?. They always put a good show on as well.
People were complaining that tournament ticket holders got priority in this as well?????.
I've seen adverts up every where advertising the game.
Hopefully football never goes back to the millenium. Some of our fans are shit

Yep!
A few 'hardcore' who follow their country through thin and thin and then there's the rest!
For reference, see...
Cardiff City FC reach FA Cup Semi-Final; Cardiff City FC reach FA Cup Final; Cardiff City FC reach Carling Cup Final; and Cardiff City FC reach Premier League
in Red
I remember how much certain people whinged about not being able to get tickets, how the 'Ambassadors' had (quote) "no right" to preferential treatment (despite helping to keep the club afloat during the really dark days) and how many 'new' friends existing supporters suddenly made as 'others' suddenly wanted a piece of the action!
Nothing new here, I'm afraid. Just people being people!

Many cynics would say----gareth bale not playing

Two simple answers really, Holland not the force in world football as they use to be,and Wales without Bale and Ramsey are not the same attraction to the fans
Fri Nov 13, 2015 12:33 pm
Glory hunters not interested if Bale is not playing.

Settle down
Its a friendly and almost a sell out

But England sell out 90k for turgid games. Because there fans put the effort in.
Yes our population is less, but I don't think 33k is particularly much to ask for a friendly against Holland. Not considering this will be a celebration of the fact we are going to France.
I guarantee plenty of kids wanted to go watch Wales after the campaign. Fiver a ticket surely parents could take them.
I still think it will be a great atmosphere and I'm looking forward to it.

Ah yes, but
THIS is the time supporters should be 'getting behind' their team and showing them they care!
In fairness, it is a good crowd for a 'friendly'
Fri Nov 13, 2015 3:13 pm
England don't sell out 90percent, they only had just over 40k against Norway last year
Fri Nov 13, 2015 3:41 pm
A sell out for the "I was there " games.......and now the glory hunters stay away.........shocking
Fri Nov 13, 2015 4:46 pm
It's a boring friendly where none of the top players are really interested, the best players at the best clubs seem to get convenient injuries, and the match ultimately means nothing. It's a wonder anybody at all goes.
Fri Nov 13, 2015 4:49 pm
Just a thought but how many of the people accusing fellow welsh fans of being glory hunters would travel to Wrexham tonight to watch a friendly?
Fri Nov 13, 2015 5:11 pm
This sort of crowd for a Wales friendly is virtually unheard of unless it was someone like Brazil. No Bale & no Ramsey doesn't help either.
Fri Nov 13, 2015 5:30 pm
Did not apply for a ticket as I thought it would be a sell out like the qualifying games were.
Did not manage to purchase a ticket for those games due to the "new" supporters.
Expected all those "new" supporters to apply for and attend the game.

A. It's just a friendly.
B. It's not glamour, it's against a team who couldn't qualify for the euro's.
Fri Nov 13, 2015 6:19 pm
friendly and on terestrial tv thats why! as for England most friendlies are packed with schoolkids except glamour teams!

Wembley is almost always half empty so I have no idea where you're pulling 90k from

I'm amazed this many have been sold, a completely meaningless game on a Friday night, and live on the box. Anything over 20,000 will be a good turnout imo. Well done to all who are going, but tbh it doesn't interest me in the slightest.
Fri Nov 13, 2015 8:04 pm
What a load of bollox, it's a friendly as simple as that. I personally never have and never will do them Wales or city, could count them on one hand. Spend enough time away from my family with football, friendlies just don't excite me.

The clue is in the op's name... He posts nothing but negative comments.

What a silly comparision. There is three times the amount of people just in london compared to wales
Fri Nov 13, 2015 9:50 pm
It's a friendly.
Also should put to bed the idea of moving to the Millennium.
Sat Nov 14, 2015 3:57 am
People are completely missing the point here. These friendlies are no longer 'meaningless', because we've actually qualified. Coleman has been at pains to point out the worth of these matches before the Euros start. They're all-important opportunities to see what the players who didn't feature much during the qualifying campaign (Jonny Williams, George Williams, Tom Lawrence, Adam Henley and Emyr Huws are just some of the youngsters who played tonight who didn't feature much at all during the qualifiers) can offer.
Every game from now until the tournament begins is important.

Anyone who didn't go missed a great game. Good atmosphere, a few of our youngsters looked impressive, and it was a pleasure to watch someone as quality as Arjen Robben live.

I think people are a little obsessed with attendances.
The reason it wasn't a sell out is not enough people wanted to go. It seems people think fans have to be buy tickets just because a game is on.
Sat Nov 14, 2015 10:55 am
Miserable cold wet night, result was not important and has no bearing on future competitive matches. Had a perfectly good view in my warm dry local pub, and saved a few bob at the same time. I thought it was a good crowd for a friendly, I thought we played some good football, and well done to those fans who turned out on a pretty disgusting night.
