" SLADE TOLD TO CLEAR? "

Slade told to trim the squad and the wage outgoings before you can bring anymore players in on loan or freebies

The shock departure yesterday of Revell to Wigan and O'Sullivans extended loan at County brings it to 15 City players out on loan and virtually off our wage bill.

Slade can now bring 2 more of his own players in and if he can sell a player in January it is believed he can have some of the transfer money to spend.

Can't disagree with this if am honest, budgets and spending is essential in any business. Who would you cash in on and gamble that money improves the team? My worry would be slades buys have been poor, fact he is loaning them out is evidence he got it wrong on several occasions.

agree with this we can't be running our debt up even more with buying 'quality' signings.I'd go for players like bamford and campbell who are quality for the championship but can't quite cut it on the top level

If we could still get anywhere near what Norwich offered last year I'd cash in on noone. Been too inconsistent for too long

Got to disagree with you there, Kennedy is quite good enough to be a regular starter. Baffling why Slade doesn't use him :?

What happened to the transfer committee ?

Thu Nov 12, 2015 3:10 pm

I thought there was a transfer committee or dalman, choo, slade and tan ?

I wouldnt trust Slade with the money given his track record so far - it's Tan's money - let him decide how he wants

The truth is I would not have Slade as our manager full stop.

Slade has been asking for 2 more players for the last couple of months and up to now, theyve told him to wait, one was because Saadi was Tans answer to striker with pace. Be interesting who is brought in??

Re: " SLADE TOLD TO CLEAR "

Thu Nov 12, 2015 3:20 pm

That's what I don't get so far with Slade. Players he's brought in are simply not good enough for championship level and like post above either they don't play or are loaned out?? Cardiff City gets stranger and stranger every week. What's next???????

2 out of 14 players players so far, Slade plays regular, Peltier week in week out and Malone when Fabio is injured, not many indeed.

his performance's last year you can't deny his quality we could of been alot worse off without him. But i mean we got pilks noone sammy and ralls which ain't a winger i know but they're all quality in my eyes.Slade should give him sub appearance's to nail down his spot but unfortunately slade hasn't give him a look in since he said about the dressing room. It's like the guerra situation which baffles everyone

Peltier - great signing.
Malone - not a bad signing been great and been below average on times
Kennedy - incredible some games last year but poor in others, potentially a decent signing.

The rest have been poor and you won't get them all right, Saadi could be a gem but could be a flop.

Based on the above statistics we haven't got it right, you must appreciate with a limited budget the chances are greater that all of the signings or most will be decent but even so it's a poor return. :sladeout:

agree its very hard to sign championship quality players on a shoestring budget.but what i didn't get with slade he didn't go after any quality free players who was out of contract nolan barton etc might be abit high on wages but if we did get promotion the positive's were there. You got to gamble in this very poor quality championship and sadly we didn't .

He hardly plays his players so what's the point.

At least a loan doesn't have a long term effect on the club I suppose so don't mind that as much.

Certainly not under Slade.

Bellamy, Ramsey, Koumas, Olifanjana even Leon Barnett, weren't bad though !!

I don't think Slade could attract the quality but loans can work particularly for clubs without bundles of cash to spend. But they aren't free and too many can be dangerous.

However the choice between signing Revell and loaning Campbell or another quality striker would be an easy one !!

swings and roundabouts out on loan off payroll, bought in on peanuts so cost effective overall :old:

Slade has already more than done his bit by offloading Guerra, Adeyemi, Revell, Le Fondre, Doyle, Oshilaja, Ajayi, Velikonja, Kiss, O'Sullivan, Barnham-Bobb, Healey, Harris, Ben Wilson and David Tutonda.

Yet Tan will only allow Slade to bring a player in if he clears even more out. What can Slade do? We will barely have a squad left. Tan is unbelievable!

He needs another biggie to go though, olnly really Alf & Guerra on mega salaries.

Either Jones, Whitts, Gunnar, Fabio, Noone, Pilkington or Dikgachoi need to go to get a decent newbie in.

You only shop in Aldi's when you have to, if you do have a bit of Cash M&S does taste better
