As if the jacks are under achieving, what do they want champions league places every season. Football's gone mad these days even though it's the jacks he's keeping them up every season is that not the aim for a little club like Swansea

Rogers be back there i bet if monk goes
Mon Nov 09, 2015 9:16 am
In fairness to Swansea they are a sensibly run football club, I can't see them hitting the panic button.
Plus they do have supporters who support the team and the manager, which is more than can be said for some of our own fans!

They'd be the same if they had Slade so disagree with last post

They also have supporters who don't support the manager just like ourselves and virtually every other team in the league. We are no different to anyone else, you are never going to satisfy every single supporter.

No quite true about the supporters. I know 4 Jack season ticket holders, 3 old timers and 1 since the play off final (before that game he had been to the CCS 10 times more) The old timers are still in dream land waiting for some one to wake them up, but a lot of fans believe they should be going for the "next level" ......
Can't see Huw panicing though, they are a safe mid table club
Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:55 am
When going gets tough usually one result The axe!!

but they have not evolved so finding other teams know game plan, a bit like our opponent's!

Hopefully their bubble has finally burst.
Mon Nov 09, 2015 11:00 am
they are in no trouble what so ever so would be odd if they got rid of him, perhaps a defeat at home to bournemouth next would change that, but i would expect them to win it
Mon Nov 09, 2015 1:45 pm
What goes round comes round laudrup one win in ten monk one win in eight difference here monk hasn't got anyone stabbing him in the back like he did to laudrup
Mon Nov 09, 2015 1:49 pm
Gomis went from a top player to absolute garbage in no time. Monk has an unbalanced squad with the lack of firepower imo

Can't wait for this day to come.

Monk has taken a lot of credit like Brendan Rogers did for the way they play but the system was already put in by Martinez.monk hasn't build anything at swansea it was already done .it will be interesting to see if they do get rid of monk where would he end up because there no way he could do what Martinez started at another club .monk wanted a job life but it doesn't always work that no matter how poplar you think you are .but I don't think swansea will go down that road but nothing surprises me in football
Mon Nov 09, 2015 4:57 pm
Been in Neath all day and their lot are saying that Monk was given an ultimatum to accept a 'Director of Football' or else. He refused the offer and his job is apparently in the balance!
One thing you can say about Huw Jenkins is that he will do what is right for the good of Swansea Town FC, regardless of who gets fed to the Wolves (or the locals in that part of the world!

) and he can't be faulted for that!

Bad decision if they sack him, they will regret it.

could be just simply clubs dont worry about their tappy tappy football anymore? apparently had no shots on target sat!!! and not many in last couple games? also style play had to be altered due to fact gomis doesnt play in way bony did and that is crucial to way they play.
its now only matter of time before he goes unless go on good run starting saturday

Nail on head. Martinez laid the foundations.
They won't go down. There are5 or 6 teams worse than them and whilst you can never be too good to go down it won't happen. Players like sigurddson, Williams, Taylor, Shelvey and montero will see them ok. They are also in the position where they will have money to spend in January.
They do have some crap players. Kyle naughton is dreadful. Gomis is mediocre and emnes is pure crap.
Mon Nov 09, 2015 6:53 pm
Too good to go down, they have a great squad. Sounds like he will go if they don't get a result against Bournemouth.

never to good to go down? most infamous saying in football!
but guess they wont go down as 3 other teams worse than them

Okay what I mean is their are worse teams than them in this division. What I have noticed though is beyond their first 11 is a very very weak bench, not much quality to cover injuries.

yes there are worse teams but wont take much to drag them down and surely couple teams cant be bad all season? likes of villa, sunderland! agree very weak after 1st eleven and thats been coming for awhile as not investing in a big squad and looking for bargains that are failing, did say 2yrs ago its no sustainable in premier, fulham did it and look what happened after 6yrs or so? (relegation)

Too good to go down? Tell that to Newcastle and Leeds fans from previous years...

KWest wrote:Too good to go down? Tell that to Newcastle and Leeds fans from previous years...
Their teams were shite. Nothing to do with the size of the club otherwise the Jacks would have gone down long ago.
Mon Nov 09, 2015 7:33 pm
They are flapping hard because they can see the form they are in. Relegation fodder.
Next manager Moyes? Big name they will think a clever move.
Just guaranty relegation

That's just it I don't get what the fans want champions league football place every season as they will never get that, always sell there best player each season and bring less in so makes no sence to get rid of monk imo
Mon Nov 09, 2015 8:55 pm
Spoke to jack fan today, he's not panicking but is definitely concerned. Somebody posted earlier, difference is bony and the way they play. The confidence is now draining and he expects a win sat, anything less and monk will go which is mental but it could implode.
Mon Nov 09, 2015 10:34 pm
He's still in charge at the moment - BBC WALES NEWS .
Tue Nov 10, 2015 12:28 am
Let's be honest, whether he gets sacked or not doesn't make a difference. They're going to stay up convincingly again.
