" VINCE ALM IS FUMING & I AGREE WITH HIM "

Vince Alm

Juniors come free in November;

I was amazed to read on here that some supporters who have junior season tickets and are not inviting any of their kids friends to the football have actually asked for a reduction in their junior season tickets!!!

I have written to the club urging them not to pay back any money to these supporters at all. every season there are three promotions for the benefit of season tickets where you bring a mate for tenner etc. this latest one children season ticket holders can bring a friend was an idea by the fans as juniors season ticket holders never have a specific promotion, what a great idea to bring your best mate from school along with you to a football match for free and also fill some of those empty seats.

We ask the club to do promotions to bring fans back yet this sort of action will make them think twice in the future.

Personally I think its selfish its just my view but because they got no one to bring they believe the club owes something, sorry i disagree.

I hope the club telling politely where to go and I will back them 100% all the way.

This is my own personal view and not the view of the supporters club who may or may not have a different view once asked.

Cmon we are trying to improve things off the pitch and the club are all ears

People doing this clearly don't care about the club.

Probably the first ones to moan about the crowds.

However I DO hope that the club look at season ticket prices for kids next year and reduce them in order to make it more attractive .

I think it's a fantastic idea and hopefully we will see an increase in attendances this month. I do think the club should also offer something as a reminder they haven't forgotten the loyal fans who bought junior season tickets. Even something like a ten pound voucher for the shop. Otherwise it could work in reverse and people who have bought season tickets for children this year might not bother and might pay game by game and hope they put this promotion on again next season saving themselves some money.

The club and football in general have got it all wrong, they are trying to replicate Supermarkets and other commercial outlets, who have customers not fans, so when things get tough, they try special offers, like two for one etc. They should have actually thought about all this before the season started and got all pricing right, but unfortunately the club and most others are run by people who have not got a clue about the football environment

It is stunning how some people can invent victimhood at the drop a hat.

As said above those who have asked for a refund really don't care about the club. It's a petty attitude and how is the club supposed to move forward with fans who have such a selfish attitude?

I really hope the club ignore this nonsense and carry on the good work in trying to repair the relationship between itself and those who really care about CCFC

When you buy anything in this world you agree to the price at the time irrespective of what happens afterwards.
If you buy a pizza in Tesco one week you dont kick off a week later if they've got an offer on exactly the same item.

Re: " VINCE ALM IS FUMING & I AGREE WITH HIM "

It was obvious attendances were going to be right down and would be loads of offers about.

All very well but these people just won't renew next season if it doesn't make financial sense.

Mess made by the club not pricing season tickets correctly at the start of the season

No doubt a minority, will never please all. The club are looking to reward them and for once have made a positive step.

Well I have told the coaches at my son's under 9 team about this to get as many kids there as possible. Hoping that lots of coaches for the youth teams in barry. Cardiff or anywhere can support this tremendous initiative

Vince I sadly quit on my season ticket after 16 Years this year, you might and probably will not understand that knowing me and how I love my club. However I just can't understand the clubs direction it's appeal to fans which is very little and it's distinct lack of identity!! I as you know followed the club short of far and loved it win lose or drAw but sadly the game has become very predictable very cautious by which you included have applauded the squad for it's solidarity even though they win record is poor. The football Is poor that's a fact? The entertainment is short coming again another fact and the sense of worth from those watching is again short lived again another fact! You may argue the toss and support the club of which I have to admit your undenaying support Is admiral but the facts speak, attendances are degreasing, atmosphere is decreasing and the brand of football we play is also bland so how do we attract fans back????

The football has been better this year, although the last 5 or so games they have gone back to last seasons :sleepy2: :sleepy2: football and at the same time getting results as we are hard to beat, but that's not surprising given the way we set up.

You were right Annis, a lot of the die hards are now giving up. The floaters will always do what they do, that's football and we have always had quite a fickle fan base, sustained success you wouldn't get a ticket.

The biggest worry is the hardcore now giving up, after Monday night and the whole steward scenario I never thought I would say this but I think me and city are one step from a time out :sad7:

Another fan making excuses. The club needs its so called 'loyal support' now more than at any other time and this kind of bleating is starting to piss me off.

I accept that there is a problem with the stewarding and IMO it is affecting the atmosphere as much as the so called awful football being played.

However, it is not a reason to give up if you consider yourself a 'hard core' fan

Again it sounds like excuses by those who don't want to stand by the club in its hour of need.

Supporters organisations should now push for a meeting with the club to sought the stewarding out

I agree, and I have never given up on anything nor would I on CCFC, but I will be honest it's pushed me to the point of considering a Time Out. I have waved many on this forum and questioned their loyalty, I can now fully understand and appreciate some of them no longer attending and their reasons.

I will happily attend any meeting, air any views and be happy to be the voice of anybody that wishes to be heard. You go to the footy to enjoy it, if the football is bad you enjoy the rest not arguing with your own stewards and not being able to show your emotion at a football match!! Absurd!! A lot have had enough, something must give.

This is an unfortunate result of trying to create interest from 'new' fans. Maybe it doesn't work at junior level or perhaps it is symptomatic of the attitudes of young people today. Could a better way be to offer half price tickets for mates and the season ticket holders get that amount in vouchers?? Either way you have to applaud the club for at least attempting something.

The whole issue of ticket pricing has to be looked at carefully if there is to be an upturn in the attendances. It seems that sometimes, there is no real benefit in buying a season ticket financially. The rewards should be there for the fans who are already supporting the team every week.

Come to think of it, why didn't the offer consist of half price for a mate and that amount deducted from next season's ticket for the regular fan?? Same cost to the club, but a guaranteed sale for next year. It could be done on ticket stubs. Everyone is happy!!

Fine if you want to stop going then don't go but don't hide behind excuses and still claim you are a die hard fan.

I can remember before the Play-off Finals in 2003 & 2010, along with the FA Cup and League Cup Finals (plus the promotion game vs. Charlton) the number of so called 'die hard' fans coming out of the woodwork moaning because they couldn't get tickets, but somehow had a sense of entitlement.

It is at times like now you prove you are a die hard because you stick with your team whatever the problem.

The point isn't if the football is dire (I think we can all agree that it is) the point is who is a die hard and who is a plastic?

A die hard will stand by the club no matter what, a plastic will jump ship and blame circumstances.

I'm a season ticket holder and applaud any effort made to fill stadium.Would go one further and pick a game for free entry to all non season ticket holders ,adults and juniors .As the Wales games have shown when full CCS rocks. If you attend the free game you get the next for a fiver, the next for a tenner then back to full price .Apart from
potential extra policing costs think this could be a winner.

You may argue the toss and support the club of which I have to admit your undenaying support Is admiral but the facts speak, attendances are degreasing, atmosphere is decreasing and the brand of football we play is also bland so how do we attract fans back????

Another fan making excuses. The club needs its so called 'loyal support' now more than at any other time and this kind of bleating is starting to piss me off.

Agree with you mate you either stick with the club we love or move on and stop whining about it these moaners do my head in not many moaned when in prem in effing red :bluebird: :bluebird:

I'll carry on supporting the club, but sometimes loyalty works both ways.

Either support club 100% or move on what do you mean about loyalty works both ways ? I just support my club don't expect anything in return :bluebird: :bluebird:
