' Where Do You Honestly Believe City Will end up come May 2016? '
My belief between 10th-12th
And Why?
That high, because even though I have No faith in Slade,we have still one of the best squads in the Championship.
I believe Slade is a lower division manager and always have and lower division players suit him.

Potential to finish in the top half, but missing out on the play off places. Not enough quality throughout the squad,,,,better than last year, but still not consistently good enough.
We played our best football for ages v Hull, & still lost. Good teams play badly & get results, & the less said about last Saturday the better.
Russell Slade still has a lot to prove, IMHO, but I think hes a division out of his league.

Personally, I believe exactly in your statement here. I said before the season that we'd be around mid table and now I feel we'll be a little higher.
Like you I'm supporting Slade but I just can't warm to him and don't believe he can really move us on to the next step.

Mid table, around 10th. We are a mid table team with a lower division manager. Had we added maybe four quality signings during the transfer window, I believe we would have scraped the play offs and probably fallen at the semi final stage, which would have been a fantastic season for Slade & co

Top six but don't think we will go up. Which I would consider a good season
Mon Sep 21, 2015 8:16 am
These are pivotal times, we could and should be 2nd or 3rd but we are not. No luck maybe? Well teams that go up tend to have good fortune so I'm thinking we won't be. Not many will lose to Rotherham whatever the circumstances. We are just a very unlucky club, the polar opposite to the jacks if you like. 9th place.
Mon Sep 21, 2015 8:19 am
I think we'll finish 8th which would be a decent finish. Maybe keeping our better players and signing 1or 2 decent players in January could be the key.
Mon Sep 21, 2015 8:49 am
About 12th we are just as likely to lose to the lesser teams in the division as beat them and we are not as good as the Hull's and Middlesboros
Luck evens out over the season always has and always will to constantly blame luck is pathetic and trying to hide the truth and helps no one we need to be realists and realise the better teams win more games simples really.

Difficult to say but I think it depends on how long Russell Slade stays in the job and what happens in the January window
As it stands I think we will win some and lose some as it has been for the last two seasons with a mid table finish . My major worry is how the attendances with bear up .

7th-8th
Ask this question again after 12 games

Things will be a lot clearer then.

If we are mid table and going nowhere, then I think we will drop to 8k to 9k attendances I'm afraid

Play like we did against Hull - and we'll do ok - top 6 or 7
Play like we did last season and its a bottom 6 or 7 finish.
We can pass it round good enough - but we dont have the striking power we had when it was chops / jay .
At least if we play like we did against Hull it will be more bearable to watch and should bring some of the lost crowd back

10/12th would be an achievement within itself.
Would be suprised if we top ten.

As people have said we have a manager who is a lower division manager so cant really expect anymore than mid division. He was brought in to do a cost cutting job and has done what tan asked him
Mon Sep 21, 2015 10:35 am
7th....worst position possible bar the bottom 3
Mon Sep 21, 2015 10:42 am
I believe we will be around the top 2.
Mon Sep 21, 2015 10:45 am
Around mid table, maybe just below half way. We are no better than many other teams in this division, and I think everyone knows we lack pace in most areas of the pitch. We use the Hull performance as a benchmark, but how many clear cut chances did we create. Their defence was fairly comfortable throughout, and although it was an improved performance, we rarely looked like scoring. I don't think many teams will fear playing us this season, as Rotherham proved on the weekend.
Mon Sep 21, 2015 11:42 am
Mid table mediocrity is written all over the squad and the manager, people keep saying we have one of the best squads in the division, have we though?, one thing that separates good teams from average ones, is pace, something that we don't have throughout the team, something Slade has failed miserably to rectify, also we don't have a consistent goalscorer, again Slade has failed there, if we are serious about promotion, two things need to happen, Slade needs to go,replaced by a manager who has Championship experience and someone needs to tell Tan,that if he wants to sell the club, he stands a better chance of doing that if where in the Premiership, and he needs to invest accordingly
Mon Sep 21, 2015 11:52 am
13 to 16 poor coaching and lack of pace and cutting edge lack of ownership ambition too

Definite top 6. I can't be a miserable negative b*stard like the rest of you.
People wonder why there is no atmosphere in the stadium? Its because its full of negative people with a negative attitude who seem to want the team to fail, just so they can say "I told you so!".
Until it is mathematically impossible for the team to get into the playoffs or promoted, then I am always hopeful that the team can win and succeed. Why would you go and watch if you don't think they can be successful?
Rant over.

Don't think it's being negative, more like realistic. As far as watching them is concerned, after just about 50 years of watching them, I'm pretty used to them not being successful, but it's like a drug and I have to keep going back in the hope that we will eventually get to the top and stay there. Certainly don't want to say I told you so, much prefer you to be able to say that at the end of the season. I would absolutely love to be proved wrong, but as things stand I honestly don't think I will.

48 years for me. I should have learned by now!

Top 6 , not because we are good but because the league is so poor this year , Middlesbrough will walk it by February . The other 5 is anybody's who puts a good run together from January imo

6th ~ 12th
We will win enough games to be always looking up rather than down, but the lack of pace and cutting edge will hurt us unless Sammi is a revelation and goes on a mental scoring spree when he is fitter.
I always forget about Macheda, and for all the skill he has, my heart sinks when his name is read out. But he is more than capable of being a 20 goal striker is he can be bothered.
Mason isn't good enough for a top six team. 3 in 7 will soon turn into 3 in 12...He is a provider not a finisher
Jones is a battering ram and not expected to be a 20 goal man.
With Whitts and Digachoi sitting deep not taking any chances we'll end up with a lot of draws. I don't think we'll lose a lot though. Someone like Conway would suit this set up so much, but i am afraid Nooney is only a last 20 mins if it is close to make something happen.
The emergance of Ralls is the best thing so far

Mid Table which is what I said at the start of the season. Can't see us challenging anywhere near the top but on other hand don't think we will have any danger at the bottom.

I know you are a Slade fan but honestly do you think he is the man to take us up , this is a manager who has NEVER won promotion in 20 odd years of management. I'm not a Slade fan but will support him , I will give him some credit in that he has stopped the rot with the mess OGS left us in . I personally think we will finish around 10th but honestly don't believe Slade is the man to take us forward
Mon Sep 21, 2015 5:14 pm
About the same as last season mid table maybe 10th, I don't have much faith in Slade, he had a decent start but can he keep it up, well after the last 2 games I think not
Mon Sep 21, 2015 6:43 pm
Top 6 the league isn't that good this year , we have a strong experienced squad
