SIGNING | Charlton snap up Everton's Conor McAleny on loan
Mon 14 Sep 2015
Forward, who spent part of last season on loan at Cardiff City, joins on an initial two-month loan deal
George Jones reports
Charlton have completed the signing of highly-rated Everton forward Conor McAleny on loan, initially until November 7th, the club confirmed on Monday afternoon.
Equally adept at playing up front as well as wide, the 23-year-old enjoyed an eight-game spell at Cardiff City in the latter period of last season, finding the net twice.
A regular goalscorer in Everton’s youth teams, McAleny made his Toffees debut as a 19-year-old in December 2011 when he came off the bench the Emirates Stadium against Arsenal.
A month later, he replaced Louis Saha to make his maiden senior appearance at Goodison Park against Norwich City.
He joined Scunthorpe United for the final two months of the 2011/12 campaign, where he made three appearances in League One, and 15 months later he linked up with Brentford.
Unfortunately, though, his six-month loan spell in west London was cut short due to injury having played just four games but, after recovering from a broken leg, the promising youngster penned a new three-year contract with Everton in summer 2014.
He was heavily included by Blues boss Roberto Martinez in this year's pre-season and, two weeks ago, he found the net in Everton U21s' 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
McAleny will wear the number 28 shirt in SE7 and is eligible for selection for tomorrow’s clash with Huddersfield Town at The Valley.

This is a Cardiff City forum and if you read the top for all fans from clubs.
But yes Conor will interest our fans massively as has just left us.
Some fans would of expected him back here maybe?
Also on Football News 24/7 regarding Cardiff City,it was the main topic
Paulh, you know what to do if you don't like the forum, don't come on it
Once again you've changed a topic, no wonder the mods ban you so much
Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:35 pm
i just say the things others think... and a lot more seem to be talking about it as well
do wish you would stop calling me paula too.... the 'A' is nowhere near the 'H' button so you have no excuse

Have to agree that title is misleading, maybe, Charlton sign ex city loaned, then those who interested could look, whereas title hints that he signs for us.
Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:37 pm
He played a few games for City last season so this is relevant to us... He was also linked with a return to us on loan at the start of the season

I don't understand why people have to complain about everything that appears on here... It's a FOOTBALL DISCUSSION FORUM. The subject says "Conor McAleny on loan" - It doesn't state that it was to Cardiff hahaha

We are talking about Paulh here who among a few others last year tried to destroy this forum. I just wish he would contribute to debates instead of just slagging the forum off and stopping it being a football forum. You could say enough is enough from him. No real contribution to the forum by him, just slags posters off,sad really.
Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:45 pm
excuse me.
in no way shape or form did i try to destroy a forum thankyou very much
Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:46 pm
95% of stickies are related to City
Even Keith Morgan said on Saturday, that this forum is where you will find more on football and City than any other forums, and he's my biggest critic

This thread is deliberately misleading and i dont feel sorry for pointing that out.

Paulh, you were part of the group that spent a few weeks trying to destroy fans topics,we banned all the others,I left you on as to be fair you were no where as bad as the others and that's why they've never been let back on
Just talk football and debate the football side and win your arguments that way

Paulh, yes he's gone out on loan,I do put small headlines,I admit and yes more will look if you don't put the whole story in the headline, that I will always do,it's the way I was taught from a kid,in pubs/ Clubs/ hotels and now football

But guess what we should be talking about the topic City not getting him?

Paulh, I genuinely don't see what your point is here, but the picture is building and this single thread is indicative of why you are where you are in relation to this Forum
Having done a bit of research, all I will say is that that you don't
HAVE to be a member, if you feel (like before) its style/content isn't for you!

We didn't get him because RS has realised he had a good squad here before he started getting his own players in.
Heard today we are about to sign someone from Austria however will take him 8 months to get used to playing on GRASS
Mon Sep 14, 2015 2:57 pm
Usual suspects
You would think its the end of the world

Not interested in that we never signed him?

Slightly disappointed that we haven't signed him to be honest. He was a tidy player last season.

There's no pleasing some miserable bastards though.

Thank god it's not a sticky any longer. I would never have slept tonight.

To be fair it's not Annis who usually does the misleading titles, it's the new moderator, who seems to post 5/6 a day all pointless stuff, but cracking signing for them, Charlton not expected to do anything big this season so he will have no pressure
