Cardiff City have been buoyed by their 2-0 home win on Saturday against Huddersfield Town that saw the Welsh side take second place from the Tigers in the Championship. Manager Russell Slade is probably forced in to one change from his winning formula over the weekend, with news that former Tiger loanee Lee Peltier has picked up a knee injury and will need to be assessed before selection.

City will field the same team that gave won the last 3 games if Peltiers recovers from his dead-leg.

Cardiff defender Lee Peltier is a major doubt for the home game against Hull.
Right-back Peltier sustained a dead-leg type injury on the inside of a knee during Saturday's home win.

HULL CITY have no fresh injury worries following the weekend defeat at Brighton, meaning manager Steve Bruce will select from the same group of players when his squad make the journey to Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

Slade only has Turner and Macheda out injured and there is a chance Peltier might make it,so all in all Slade has virtually the team that has won the last 3 games on the bounce and has his strong bench to pick from :thumbright: :ayatollah:

The Opposition

Hull City Association Football Club is an English association football club based in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire. It was founded in 1904. The club participates in The Championship – the second tier of English football – and their greatest achievement in cup competitions came in 2014, when the team reached the final of the FA Cup.[2] In 2007–08 they achieved promotion to the top flight of English football for the first time in their history by winning the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium. Their highest league finish was for the 2013–14 season, in which they finished 16th in the Premier League table.

Hull City play their home games at KC Stadium. They previously played at Boothferry Park and moved to their current home in 2002. Boothferry Park has been demolished and has been replaced by a housing development. They traditionally play in black and amber, often with a striped shirt design, hence their nickname The Tigers. The club's mascots are Roary the Tiger and his sister Amber.

Cardiff City v Hull City

BY ANDY MILLS SEPTEMBER 14, 2015

Mitchell Whiley looks ahead and hopes Hull City can get their first league away win of the season.

Maximum points at home this season is just enough to keep Hull in the top six, after claiming only a single point from the three away fixtures. Up against Cardiff this weekend, City look to get their first win on the road with a tough trip to the Welsh capital.

An eleventh place finish last season halted any chance of an immediate bounce back to the Premier League, but currently Cardiff are sitting pretty in second place, two points above City. A slow start of three draws in three games has been backed up by three consecutive wins, the latest being a 2-0 victory over lowly Huddersfield. With star midfielder Craig Noone injured, the key threats for City will be Joe Mason and Peter Wittingham, who have three goals and three assists respectively. Another threat to Allan McGregor’s goal will be Sammy Ameobi, who has a goal and two assists to his name already this season. He also scored with a 35-yard strike when City went down to Newcastle 3-0 last season. In three league fixtures and a league cup tie at the Cardiff City Stadium, the Bluebirds are yet to concede a goal at home.

The recent injuries to Diomande and Maloney leave Steve Bruce to select from almost a full strength squad, with the obvious exception of Robert Snodgrass. Jake Livermore is also not expected to be back playing in the black and amber just yet. However, it is expected that there will be a change in the formation that started the Brighton match, as Bruce copped heavy criticism for his tactical formation selection. With Diame looking better as each week goes on, expect a big game from him.

Although City have had a poor start to the season in terms of away fixtures, they have notched up two wins in the past three visits to Cardiff, which included the most recent match between the two clubs where Huddlestone and Livermore netted once each and Jelavic bagged a brace in a 4-0 victory. However only six of the fourteen who took the field that day look set to return for the upcoming visit (McGregor, Davies, Elmohamady, Huddlestone, Meyler and Bruce).

With a W-D-L record of 22-20-19 over Cardiff, it’s difficult to make a prediction for this match based on history. However, with three or more scored in five of the last six meetings between the clubs, it is expected to be high scoring. After a poor away record last season, as well as the beginning of this one, City must be able to find something on the road if they are able to keep in touch with the top six.

The Tigers have no fresh injury worries following the weekend defeat at Brighton, meaning manager Steve Bruce will select from the same group of players when his squad make the journey to Cardiff City on Tuesday night.

Cardiff defender Lee Peltier is a major doubt for the home game against Hull.

Right-back Peltier sustained a dead-leg type injury on the inside of a knee during Saturday's home win against former club Huddersfield and was forced out of the action in the first half.

Boss Russell Slade could be forced to change his line-up for the first time in three games. Scott Malone replaced Peltier at the weekend and could return to the starting line-up.

Slade must decide whether to hand on-loan Newcastle striker Sammy Ameobi his first league start for the club after he impressed as a second-half replacement for Kenwyne Jones. Ben Turner (ankle) and Federico Macheda (back) are still out.

Hull boss Steve Bruce will select his starting line-up from the same squad that travelled to Brighton at the weekend.

Bruce has no new injury or suspension concerns following Saturday's 1-0 defeat but hinted he could make changes.

Striker Sone Aluko and midfielder Tom Huddlestone are among those pushing for recalls after starting on the bench at the weekend.

"We have to find the right away formula to make sure we're better than we were in the first half at Brighton," said Bruce, who is still without Shaun Maloney, Robert Snodgrass (both knee) and Adama Diomande (groin).

PREVIEW: Cardiff City v Hull City
Hull City's away form is increasingly coming under the microscope, as the Tigers succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Championship leaders Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend. Without a victory on away turf since April, Steve Bruce's side now find themselves having to undergo an arduous trip to second placed Cardiff City, just three days after their south coast jaunt to play the table toppers.
The Tigers chief has no fresh injury worries ahead of the trip to South Wales, but he is unlikely to select the same XI that faced Brighton on Saturday. Sone Aluko and Tom Huddlestone are two players who will be pushing most for recalls to the side, while Greg Luer has been included as a late addition to the squad making the journey south. Despite the fixture appearing more than a mite tricky, the silver lining to the match is the fact City have won three and drawn two of their last six encounters against the Bluebirds.

Elmo - We Will Improve

15/09/2015

Ahmed Elmohamady has been speaking ahead of the game against Cardiff City later this evening, and admitted that Hull need to show a lot of improvement if we are to achieve our hopes of being promoted back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

With a one nil loss to Brighton behind us, and no victories on our travels so far this season, speaking to the Official Site Elmo said our away form has to match our stronger home form if we are to pick up the points we need.

'It`s something quite hard to understand. We need to quickly put right our form away because we play so well in the home games but then we are like a different team away. We have an attacking mentality at the KC and go out to attack teams from kick-off but we don`t seem to be able to do that away from home. Hopefully we can start doing that from tonight.'

With Cardiff making a decent start to the season themselves, now sitting in second place in the Championship table, Elmo knows we will be up against another tough test tonight, but it's a test he knows we have the quality to conquer as long as we play properly.

'The best thing about the Championship is that when you have a disappointing game on Saturday, you have a match on Tuesday to put things right. You have to get yourself ready straight away because you have no time to think about the last result so that is a really good thing. We know we will be better tonight. Cardiff are a good team and have had a good start to the season but we`re ready.'

Driving the team on he knows will be the Brighton result though as everybody was gutted to come out of the game with nothing to show for it.

'It was disappointing to lose to a team close to you in the league table. Brighton are a good team with a good manager and defended really well but it was a frustrating one for us. We`ve got to forget about that now and focus on the Cardiff game and getting a result away from home. We have some big games coming at home so it would be good to get an away win to boost confidence levels leading up to some important matches. We always enjoy playing in the KC Stadium with its nice atmosphere but we need to learn how to win away too.'

I think Hull will have the first half going in 1 nil up, Cardiff come out strong in the second half and fizzle out after 10 minsutes. Slade makes 2 changes which has Cardiff bossing the last 20 minutes we pick up a bit of a scrambol goal and game ends 1-1
